You do know that there isn't even any sort of "rule" stating that any sort of a format for the Trivia has to be given at all, right? I was only giving formats on some of them to be nice and make them a little easier to get. It was posted in the News comments multiple times, plus I was mailed and profile commented about it. Putting either sock or socks is totally unnecessary and redundant. Which type do they prefer? The only correct answer is right, as, as was said, if you put right socks, then you get right socks sock as the type, which makes no sense.

I completely agree. -.- I always read the Trivia comments but the format info given was nowhere to be seen when I read the comments. Congrats to the Users who were fortunate enough to be privy to such info before it was knocked off the page.

Sorry, but we should not have to read the comments to be able to answer in the proper format. The question should either specifiy (as several recent ones did) or the answer list should incorporate more possibilities.
I didn't have a format problem with the last one, either. I thought the same as Zyte. If the answer had been ''right socks'' then that would have given you ''right socks'' sock.

I was never around for the format question, but when it asked what kind of socks they prefer I just put down right. It didn't ask 'what' they preferred, it asked 'what sock.' I dunno, maybe its just me, but I didn't have any sort of format trouble with the last one.

I disagree with counting right socks as a wrong answer. If you just said right, it could be right ANYTHING. I believe it should have said right ones or right socks to be correct.

The answer to the last trivia was in the editorial, and to get it right you had to put 'right' without the socks part.

ThaMaster, Debi had commented with the format on the last trivia. She gave the example of "If Sally asked what kind of cats she had, the answer would be calico as cat would already be given" or something like that.

And I don't see what the big deal is on the last trivia. I saw none of the posts about format, nor did I speak to Debi about it, and I got it correct. Part of the trivia is using common sense, isn't it?
Besides, Debi's exceptionally nice to keep it updated so often. I like a good hard brain cruncher popping up relatively often.
