shannie, it's my understanding that you cannot get the retired trunks from a MCT, even if you purchased the MCT before the specific trunk retired. you have to open the MCT and pick the costume trunk you want before it retires. (i think anyway)

I wonder how likely it is that the Guardian-Of-Lurve trunk will be one of them. I have one trunk left and I'm not sure if I should get another of those or the antique victorian trunk.
you can't get a retired trunk (say vampire hunter trunk) from a UNOPENED MCT, even if this unopened MCT was purchased before the vampire hunter trunk retired, correct? we woud have to have opened the MCT and chosen the vampire trunk before it retired, right?
