Some pets just don't need any help keeping warm in the winter. As this chibi devonti models its luxurious coat, one can't help being slightly envious.

It's so cute! I want one. All the these nice new/revamped pets are coming out and I don't have room. Boo hoo.
I don't think there's ever been a poll about updating/revamping special colors. Where have you guys been?
I like both versions myself. The face on the old one was a little cuter because it appeared rounder whereas the newer one looks slightly starved. XD;; But it matches the face of the newer Devontis well.
I always thought that the fact that you could see the eyebrows above the hair on the old one was dumb, but I agree that the eyebrows of the new one could stand to be lowered a tad and made a little more visible..
Other than that, I think everything's an improvement. I like the little changes made to the fur and the ears and.. well, maybe it's just because my monitor settings are darker than most, but I personally think the shading is GORGEOUS and not too light at all.
Also, although it is probably easier on the art staff, I get the feeling that a lot of the recent special color revamps that have been almost <i>exactly</i> like the old one are being done that way so that us users will BITCH LESS.
I personally think that the art staff is awesome for trying to make us happy. I hope that when the BR Devonti is revamped that it shares the same trend and skilled outcome.

I like the old one better, the shading was darker and more realistic. I was hoping for it to have new pose and mabye a bigger head... But all in all it is still as cute as ever.

Now that I looked at both the new and old revamps, I think I like this one the best. I like the position of the fur towards the feet a lot better on this one. It's not all going one way (Okay, that may have not made any sense...I meant it in a good way though) The eyes are really pretty. Good job!

I can't see why anyone's complaining, I can't spot a single difference myself. Does someone have another link to the old version? I'm looking at the one on wikibeta and it is exactly the same (it's not the 'updated version' yet because there is no link to the old version on its page)

If Subeta is expected to poll users on revamps that leave the design and pose in tact, but update something as fundamental as line art and shading... then why do we even hire artists? Or a creative director to be responsible for basic art standards?
Users are not, and should not, be polled for every single decision a department makes. That's why we have management.

My first reaction was to be extremely pissed that someone would change the chibi devonti without giving the users a preview or a vote. Yes in my head I was not saying too many nice things for about thirty seconds.
Now that I've actually looked at it...
You guys can criticize me for complaining at all about this, but I actually have a chibi devonti that I love dearly so I feel I have a right to complain in some way.

- For some reason the lack of seeing the eyebrows bothers me.
- I wish there were some areas where the shading was a little bit darker. Right now the whole thing looks a little washed out. The placement of the shading is better though.

This is lovely, and I have to admit I prefer this version to the last.

It's okay but I reckon it could have been a bit more chibi-ish. it coulda had a more chibi pose or face or something. It's okay I guess if ppl like it.

I think this is the first chibi I would actually get (if I had the space lol)! XD kudos to the artist! =D
I have to admit that I loved the old version, but the new shading makes it look a little more cartoony and chibi-like with the more vibrat colors. The eye color is beautiful, and it retains the charm of the old one. And it looks a little less like a mop now XD Kudos to Arbor!
