I've made a few... fun changes to the Free Shop!
Now all the free items are hidden in boxes, so everyone has a chance to grab the good stuff :)!
The number of items that are being restocked have been increased as well.

I can't really tell that it's restocking more often. And I find it's harder to get items.
This is fun and I don't feel the need to yell at a computer screen, because really, who ends up looking the fool when that happens.
This is much better than before. Although I still enjoyed the DC more, this is a lot more fair to people with laggy computers. C: Thanks, subeta.
Thank you so much for the changes, I've actually managed to snag an item, and I'm so happy! I really don't care what I get, so the boxes are really good, and it gives us fumbled fingered people a chance to get somehting.

This is so much fun! I really enjoy this change, as I would get a little overwhelmed trying to chase down the item I wanted each time the shop renewed. Now, I can just have fun every five minutes like the trick or treating!

This is wonderful, thank you so much! For the first time I've gotten stuff from the free shop, and even though they were just melody items, I'm still very happy because I actually nabbed something!

Though before I leave, I will say thank you to the staff for wanting to do something nice for it's users. I'm only saying I wish it was back to the DC style since that was fun.

Not trying to be a party pooper, but this is boring. Might be "fair," but boring. I sure miss the DC; it was the funnest aspect of the site for me. This is a great idea. I am fortunate enough to have cable and a fast computer and it has been difficult sometimes even for me, I would imagine those with slower connection must have trouble getting anything nice. This makes it more even. Also it's just more fun this way. ^__^ Thanks!

Thank you Melody; this was actually the first time I actually recieved an item from the free shop since it's been open, and believe me, i've tried ever since the beginning. I think the boxes are a great improvement, because it gives users with slower computers to have a crack at actually recieveing a decent free gift. The Greedy RSers can't tell what's rare and what isn't, anymore. =3

I agree with silkwood that it would be better if it were constantly stocked, or restocked every minute, or if it were possible to have more than one of 'each item' in stock.
But that's only suggestions, not in any way complaining.

This is sooo much better keith. The only thing I would like to add, and it's NOT a complaint. It would be great if the the free shop was always stocked as in the DC. We would still have to wait the 5 minutes,bur everyone would have the chance of snagging more than 1 or 2 items. Thanks again!

I see the reason for the change, but I hope all of the giveaways won't wind up this way now... part of the fun is being able to see something you want and click it xD
I think it'd be neat if from now on (if this idea sticks) they do it half and half... the first half of the giveaway as open items and the second this way.

It's impossible to get anything for me now, because I have to wait 10sec till the site gets load. Before this change I managed to get the cheap items. Now I get nothing <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" />
