Though the survival celebrations set off to a festive start, it seems events have taken a turn for the worse. Citizens choosing to dress up as their Unliving brothers appear to have had the symbol of solidarity misunderstood as an offensive, degrading gesture. We are hearing reports of attacks coming out at this time, but details are scarce.
Those choosing to dress up as zombies as part of the festivities are encouraged to avoid the Shadowglen area, especially while in costume!

I'm a bit sad that once again a big event/achievement (be the first etc) came out while most europeans were sleeping (including me <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_blush.gif" border="0" />) and contrary to things like TS restocks there's no way to get another chance at it. but eh, I'll manage. <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

I received that event about 5:40, just after I found and donned my first mask. I doesn't seem that I have an infection. Anyone know if I have to try and get infected again?
Wait, original 2009 zombies can't be bitten and reinfected with something else, can they? 'cause if someone bites me and takes away my Boobitis, I will NOT be happy.
I think they should up the chances of getting the virus for people who are wearing mask and looking for it.

I'm finding a lot more masks now than I was before. I hope this is news of more strains to come 'cause walking around Shadowglen is doing nothing for me. I've even been making out with the infected =(

I wouldn't be too sure... the last outbreak started as a random event as well. I got smacked with it last year about a day before the biting began.
