Black Friday Sale Heads Up
Our annual Black Friday sale in the Cash Shop will start early! You'll have from November 21st through 30th at 11:59pm to load up on sale goodies! We'll be bringing back lots of old items and debuting some brand new ones!
We are not going to be doing price matches for 10 days prior to the sale. We wanted to make sure to give you the heads up so you don't mistakenly buy something before the sale expecting to be refunded the difference.
Custom Wearables will be discounted 25% off of their listed price! We are also implementing a small change to the way commissions work during sales. In most cases, the CW creator will still get the same commission they would normally get, but if an item is priced where the commission would be larger than the amount paid for the item, the CW creator will only receive the amount paid for the item instead. This is so a base 500 CSC item cannot be priced at 10k CSC, giving a commission of 9500 CSC with only 7500 CSC paid for it, for example. In that case, the CW owner would only receive the full 7500 CSC payment instead.
As we mentioned last year, these will no longer be included in the Black Friday sale: pet slots, pet name changes, username changes, and pet overlays.
The Pawn Shop will not be included in the Black Friday Sale.

Wondering if we will see any items that unlock older challengers restocked for the sale. That would be cool. Also if the sale will start when the clock first turns over to November 21st Subeta time, or if it will just be at some random time tomorrow (being I've got to work).

@Amber - will the monthly collection(s) be discounted? I seem to remember them being discounted at one time but not for the last 2 years, at least. Thanks.

I mean, they already bring back all the past monthly collections sale or not. I just want to know if they will be discounted. I thought they wouldn't be, as they haven't done it the past few years, but there is no mention of it either way in the news post.

@shaunathedead @Evy Based on the past two years, monthly collectables are not included in the "discount" (50% off), but they tend to bring back all of that year's Monthly Collectables back so people can buy them if they hadn't previously. I'm assuming it will be the same case this year, so it's kind of included in the sale (the bringing back part) but not at a discounted price. But it really would be nice if they included it in the news post to avoid confusion.
@deathflower From past year's sales, GAs have not been included in the sale, so I suspect it'll be the same, though in that case they really should just put it up in the news post so people don't save up for GAs just to find out they're at the normal prices.

If I'm understanding things correctly, you'll still get whatever amount you're supposed to from a CW that gets bought from your shop, as long as it's equal to or less than what the buyer paid. So if someone buys a background for 25% off of 700, aka 525 CSC you'll still get 200 CSC for it. But like the example in the news post, if your item is priced at 10k CSC in the shop, it will be discounted to 7500. Instead of the 9500 CSC that you would normally get for it, you'll only get the 7500 CSC that the buyer pays.

If they included pawn shop items then they would need to permanently lower the buy back prices in order to stop people taking advantage.

Surprised that pawn shop isn't included. It's like a possible csc sink, more money for the site? ;) Of course there needs to be code in place so if you happen to buy then you can't sell back for more csc.

A friend and I were doing the math and before this rule, from certain prices on, you could be getting unlimited csc as a profit. This is why they now implemented this system. And as long as the profit you receive is no larger than what you paid for the item, you will still get the profit. :) it's quite confusing though

@LtRipley Last year the Black Friday Sale did not include the pawn shop (and I had eagerly awaited it too), so I think it won't this year either.
