You walk into a room to see a Nightmare Antlephore lounging lazily in the windowsill, staring out the window up at the sky. Several board games lay scattered around him, most seem to be in the middle of a game, though you don’t see any one he could be playing with. The large bookshelf taking up almost the entire wall beside him is crammed with books to the point of overflowing. Stacks are piled around it, towering dangerously high.

He looks over to you, the disinterest in his eyes glaringly obvious. “Who are you?”

You quickly ramble an introduction and, in turn, ask him about himself. He sighs loudly, glances back out the window for a moment, then looks back at you. “How troublesome...” he mumbles, much to your irritation. “I guess I can tell you a little about myself though.

“My name is Nara Shikamaru. I like watching clouds and reading. Oh, and shogi and go. I’ve been getting into chess some recently since it was introduced to me. I think I pretty much have the hang of it now. You know how to play? No? Oh well.” He shrugs his lean shoulders in a gesture that he seems to be well practiced in and leans back against the window. “I don’t really think there’s much more to me than that, to be honest. I’m just a lazy guy, trying to much it through life with as little effort as possible.”

He pulls himself off of the window ledge with an exaggerated show of effort. He stands and stretches. “I think I’m gonna take a nap now,” he says gesturing languidly to an unmade bed on the other side of the room. “Close the door on your way out, yeah?” he asks, effectively ending his short introduction.

Hobbies: If Shikamaru had any say in it he would spend his days watching the clouds drift through the sky and playing mind games, such as shogi and go, with a worthy opponent. He isn’t much one for talking, but he can lie down and watch the sky for hours.

Personality: Shikamaru is a lazy and unmotivated shinobi, but in a pinch he is a determined and reliable strategist who would do anything to protect his friends and comrades.

While Shikamaru tends to find people troublesome, he can figure them out pretty easily. He can quickly analyze strategy and personality even in the heat of battle and find a way to use it against his opponent, always staying several moves ahead. His IQ is over 200, a level that cannot be properly measured through IQ tests.

While Shikamaru seems like a very cynical person, he actually believes whole-heartedly in his teammates and their ability to succeed no matter the opponent.
