In fact, Fred was always an especially well-behaved pup compared to the rest of his litter. Watching over his rambunctious brothers and sisters came naturally, and only on very rare occasions would his mother have to discipline. Fred was the runt of the little, and is naturally a bit smaller in stature compared to his littermates. Perhaps this is why Fred prefers napping to roughhousing, or butterfly chasing over hunting for fish or mice.

Fred also always stuck close to the family's little burrow, which is situated carefully between the thick roots of a large oak tree in the Veta Lake wilderness.

All was calm in Fredrich's simple, happy life until his mother became ill from a mysterious illness.

Within just weeks of falling ill Fredrich's mother became very frail. With her strength waning it was clear she would soon no longer be able to provide for her puppies. Fredrich and his siblings were still very small, and surely their stored supply would wear out quickly. Someone had to take responsibility- and nobody expected that the provider would become cunning little Fredrich.

Fredrich now makes a habit of venturing off on his own, leaving the den before the sun or his siblings are even up, with his old leather bag tied around the plates lining his back. Meat would be a preferable meal for any Telenine family, but you can't expect a puppy to hunt anything big enough to feed his whole family can you? Luckily for Fredrich, Veta Lake is busting with farms and farmers markets, and this is where he posts up in order to steal as many fruits and vegetables as he can find.

During market season in spring and summer Fredrich is delighted by the stands overflowing with juicy strawberries as big as his paws, apples, carrots, and even some fruits and vegetables he can't even identify! All ruit stands are fair game for this mischievous pocket-sized Telenine.

Although he steals with good intent Fredrich can also understand that most farmers aren't too thrilled about having the literal fruits of their labor stolen. The times he has been caught Fredrich can usually get away with a few crocodile tears, but Fredrich is as careful as they come and he's very particular about switching up his routine as often as possible, hitting different markets in various areas of Subeta as he can. At his shoulders, Fredrich barely reaches up to a foot and a half, and it's easy for him to dart in and out of crowds, hiding under tablecloths until he can sneakily shove as much food as he can into his bag before darting back into the forest to make his getaway.

Family comes above all else for Fredrich and he'll do whatever it takes to make sure his hungry siblings are well fed while his mother recovers. Because of his determination and relentless thieving techniques, most local fruit stand owners have learned the hard way not to turns their backs for even a moment or else their ripest, juiciest fruits might make their way into Fred's satchel.
