As the witch continued to try and figure out the right way to approach the individual in her head and replayed countless outcomes in her minds eye, she was subjected to a unfamiliar and unpleasant sensation. Elphaba had been so absorbed in watching the man in front of her, that she had failed to remain vigilant- or consider the fact that he may not of been alone. Two heavy hands thundered upon each of her shoulders, weighing them down and engulfing them with a mighty grip- which made the witch freeze on the spot. "Boo…" a dark and throaty voice rolled to the woman's ear, almost raising the hair on the back of her neck. She had no idea what to expect, although the surprise would be greater for Elphaba's captor- considering her emerald skin and questionable powers. Her bony shoulders wriggled in the strangers grip, although she didn't put up much more fight than that, for she figured that she would rather see who she was facing then fire blindly. Her cat-like squirming allowed the man to feel just how thin and fragile his victim was and he hauled her away from the tree and mercilessly dragged her out and in to the open. She was almost skeletal in build and no real physical match for her attacker, although that didn't seem to make him harness his brute strength- nor did it stop him from executing every action as roughly as he could. With her dark green lips pursed and dark brows knitted together in a terrible scowl, Elphaba allowed herself to be tossed and mauled in an almost ragdoll like way. "Looks like you have an admirer!" Elphaba was presented to the man she had been spying on in an almost criminal way, which made the which tilt her head down and look to the ground for a moment, her actions imitating that of a scolded child. An admirer?! Really. As if /she/ was schoolgirlish enough to hide and secretly fawn over someone. "That stranger isn't even my type" she tried to silently convince herself, "and even if he was, which he /isn't/, I'm not interested in engaging in such silly activities or forming close bonds" she repeated over and over in her mind, whilst trying to remember why exactly she had been staring. 'The shoes... of course... he might know about them... or Dorothy' with her eyes narrowing and further thoughts pausing, Elphaba lifted her head slightly- so that she could glare at the person she had been watching (and not admiring) from under the brim of her large hat. The light did no favours for her green skin, for it glistened and nearly glowed in the bright summers sun- making her brighter than all of the grass and plants around. Her long nose poked out further than the edge of her tall, pointed hat, even as she lowered her dark eyes towards the ground once more. The woman's pursed lips remained tightly sealed and reluctant to open, even as the two men began to gawp and pass questioning glances between themselves as they released just how 'unique' their find was.
"Now who's admiring who?" Elphaba muttered, seizing the chance to turn her captors words back on himself. The younger of the two men (who was also the one not holding her) smiled at her words- clearly he had been entertained by her sharp tongue. Elphaba on the other hand, did not return his smile- especially not when her captor tightened his grip. "We are admiring nothing, snake" he warned, making his annoyance heard above all else. "That would be Snake, the 's' is capital- considering I am talking" the witch replied, surprisingly fast too- undeterred by the harsh hold he had upon her bony shoulders.
"What are you prattling on about?" he barked.
"You implied I was, or I am, rather, a snake. But I talk, wear clothes and move akin to a 'human'- so the the 's' in the word, would be capitalized- like Animal, not animal. I noticed you failed to do so, so I am simply correcting you".
