It happened one day...or one night...well it doesn't really matter. Time is something i don't care about anymore. My little friend, Barbossa, was out searching for something to eat. I was alone, in the dark. But i was not scared. I lived in the attic for so long...So i was getting asleep, closed in my box. Spiders can be annoying so i always hide in there when i sleep. But that day (or that night) i couldn't sleep at all. As soon as i got in my box i heard a strange crackling sound. I told myself "i must be dreaming". But as the noise stopped, i heard a shaky voice."Is anybody there?"Then i was well awake. It was years (i think) since i saw someone (besides Barbossa). And i found myself a little bit afraid. Who could have told! But i'm still the proud pirate i was in the old days. So i took a deep breath and i jumped out of my box."who's there?"My voice was hoarse. I don't really use it that much up in the attic. The stranger answered with a little high pitched scream. And at the light of a trembling candle i saw her. A little girl with a big book."Shhh! Stop it! You're gonna make all the spiders angry!"I told her. She seemed ready to burst in tear anytime."I...I'm sorry..." She murmured. "Who are you...?""I'm Barbanera! I'm a pirate...but don't be afraid...i could never hurt a child..."She looked at me like she was thinking about what to do. She turned back to look at the trapdoor on the floor."Please don't go!"I let the words slip from my mouth before i had even realized. The little girl turned again to face me and raised an eyebrow. I felt alone back in that days, i have to admit. But then she smiled."Oook! So...would you like to hear a story?" She asked innocently, coming toward me. "I'm Sewa!" She sat next to me, opening that big book. She began to read a fairy tale. She stopped often to make me questions. And from that day on, she comes every evening with a book and a smile. She talks so much that i forgot the time when i was alone, forgotten in the dark attic that Sewa, and her family cleaned to make it more confortable for me.I have a new home and new friends. All thanks to that little "know-it-all" brat.
