In a city populated by the poor and weak and ruled by the rich and strong, there is one place where all are equal, where no amount of gold will stave away the gentle scrap of shovel against dirt. The cemeteries of the city welcome those from all walks of life into their misty embraces. Some try to keep their opulence through elaborate mausoleums or headstones while others are forced to made due with the humblest of slabs hidden among the grass. But even the richest monument falls under the watchful gaze of The Gravekeeper: Armenian.

He works the graves around the city, cleaning and carrying for the inhabitants or digging new homes for incoming residents. He is not unkind and seems to have a soft spot for the poor and lonely. It is not uncommon for him to provide a comforting word to mourners or even attend burials that has few other guests.

But despite his soft and almost simple seeming nature, he is in true sly and conniving. People speak openly to him or, in the case of the rich, around him as they think him beneath their notice. There is no one in the city holding onto as much gossip and information as Armenian. And those in the know pay him very handsomely for that gossip.

The city holds more than one graveyard and yet Armenian seems to work them all. Unknown to most, there is an elaborate series of catacombs under the streets that connect them all. Armenian knows these tunnels better than the back of his hand. Slipping away in the fog, he can traverse the entire city in a fraction of the time it takes from street level.

He also is friendly with the city's rats, able to persuade them to do his bidding, and there is always a few kept under his long coat. He claims they speak to him, bringing him more gossip. This may be the pure imagination of someone who spends too much time among the dead, but he does seem to know things no mere gravedigger should know. And in a city with it's fair share of supernaturals, would it be a surprise to count Armenian among their numbers?

Armenian appears as an anthropomorphic paralix. His skin is sewn in green and brown patches with dark hair. He keeps most of himself hidden under a long muddy duster and a large wide brimmed black hat. There is always at least one rat under his collar that seems to whisper to him.
