Rebirth comes to those who are kind...

Bottled Fire

Kumos' howled through the moonlight, scaring the children in a nearby camp, as the Sun Keeto ran to it. Running as fast as possible, it prepared to leap. Then in one strong bound, it burst into the camp. The chlidren screamed, scared of the creature before them. The Keeto sang a charmful melody, as if to show it wasn't to hurt them. It did not last long, as the Keeto had a purpose, and it was detrmined not to fail.

It grabbed the children's bags, and ran down their path. The children screamed, then followed, they wanted their bags back. The Keeto was just in time, as the flames enveloped their camp. One of the children looked back, seeing the fire, and screamed, "Keep going! It's bringing us away from the flames!", while running.

The others looked back, and one said "No... My kumos plush... My dad gave that to me...", but continued to run, knowing their life was more important.

The Keeto, however, knew it served it's purpose, and wanted to do one more thing, even if that ment it's life would be lost in the prosess.

It ran into the fire, feeling it paws scorch, but it ignored the pain. It found the plush, thankfully still whole and not burnt, beside a small stone Griffin, who wanted saved, but the Keetio could feel itself dying.

It ran as fast as it could, making sure the plush didn't catch aflame, and returned it to the child, who said "Thanks, i'm sorry...", then ran off.

The Keeto felt it's body go limp, and it's spirit rise. It approached the gates, the gates to what some call paradise, sadly. It wanted to stay down, to continue helping those in need. It sang softly it's will, and the gate seemed to hear it, as it did not open, pushing the Keeto's spirit back down, where it returned to it's flaming body, happily chanting it's thanks. The stone Griffin returned to the Keeto's side, chanting along.
