Gods

Many, if not most, gods have core beliefs that answer questions in personal and society. These can range from existential and natural beliefs as well as spiritual beliefs. Gods have titles, but the titles such as "the god of war" or "the goddess of fertility" are understatements of the god's true power.
Gods and goddesses and their followers have one to two terms to summarize their philosophy, the first being the primary, the second being the secondary.
The philosophies of the gods are subjective and subject to change as many gods are cited to have dealings with other gods and this can change accordingly. A god's level is important as it can change their methods and goals of their power.
There are 7 tiers of godhood. They are as follows:

Tier One: Elder Gods
Tier Two: Transcendent Gods
Tier Three: High Gods
Tier Four: Experienced Gods
Tier Five: Inexperienced Gods
Tier Six: Demigods
Tier Seven: Avatars

According to the moderators, the players are the only ones who cannot become a god since the World Guardian powers granted by Guthix reverse the magic of the gods described. In addition to that, someone can be as powerful as a god as long as their power comes from a god other than an Elder God.

Elder Gods

Jas

Jas is an elder god and perhaps the most powerful Elder God. She has created Elder Artefacts using her stone. She can be seen in Origins of Gielinor, as one of three Elder Gods involved. These three Elder Gods created Gielinor and used artefacts to shape the planet.

Mah

Mah is the youngest of five Elder Gods. She is weak compared to the other Elder Gods and almost died before Seren killed her in Children of Mah. She created Zaros and Seren to keep her company on Freneskae. Other creatures are products of her nightmares such as Muspah and Mahjarrat.

Ascendant Gods

Zamorak

Zamorak is the God of Chaos and initiated the famous God Wars. He can be referred to as "The God of Evil" and was originally a Mahajarrat and rebelled against Zaros eventually stabbing Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl and absobed his powers. He promised to liberate the Avernic demons from Cthonic demons and did just that. When Zamorak came back after Guthix's death he was defeated by Saradomin in the divine battle of the Sixth Age and escape with his life just barely, thanks to his general Moia. Once Sliske claimed to be possessing the Stone of Jas, he planned to steal the artefact from him. He didn't end up taking the stone but regained the powers he lost during his defeat.

Guthix

Guthix is known as The God of Balance and he is the most powerful known ascendant god. He discovered Gielinor after the Elder Gods created it. He had the Stone of Jas and other artefacts to create runecrafting altars and runes. Using his sword he created the Portal of Life. The Portal of Life allowed different races into Gielinor. Guthix had gained his powers during God Wars over his homeland. He is most famously known to have ended The God Wars and banished various gods from the realm. From this the Guardians of Guthix were born. Eventually, Guthix was killed by Sliske.

Saradomin

Saradmon is The God of Order and Wisdom. He is famously known as "The God of Good." He has a following of both Icyenes and humans. He is the holder of the Elder Artefact the Crown Arhichival. He is the oldest Ascendant God and notably, he invited the Naragi realm and destroyed Askroth. He is known as the adversary of Zamorak during the God Wars and temporarily defeated him as Saradomin and his followers overpowered Zamorak and his own followers. Saradomin can appear anywhere to interact with his followers at any time, despite his physical form being locked into a magical battle with his rival.

Armadyl

Armadyl is The God of Justice and ruled the skies of Gielinor before leaving the planet after the God Wars. Armadyl was an ally of Saradomin in the God Wars. Armadyl abandoned Gielinor to roam the multiverse after the aviansies, or he said his "precious children" were slain. Armadyl is known to be obsolete by many on Gielinor due to his leaving the planet, however, a few aviansies reside in the God of Wars Dungeon. Armadyl eventually defeats his rival Bandos in the Sixth Age war.

Bandos

Bandos is The God of War and his main goal is battle and bloodshed. His followers include ogres and goblins, these considered creatures of very low intelligence yet a high yearning for bloodshed. He came to Gielinor shortly after The God Wars. Bandos tried to work around the Edicts and return to Gielinor in the Fifth Age, but this was not fate. Bandos believes "only the strong can survive" and his attitude is that only the strong can become stronger by overthrowing the weak. Bandos returned to Gielinor after the Sixth Age and was eventually killed by Armadyl. This was because he underestimated Armadyl and received a bitter end to his reign.

Young Gods

Seren

Seren is The Goddess of Peace and Growth. She is worshipped in Tirannwn and is the patron goddess of the elves. Other than Guthix, she is the only god who arrived to Gielinor on the dawn of the First Age. Created by Mah, and after the departure of Zaros, she attempted to sooth Mah from her nightmares as a token of compassion for her creator. Her efforts were futile, and Seren eventually left Freneskae to look for Mah's siblings. She eventually tied the elves and expanded their lives, which she deeply regrets. When she was gone, the elves would become feverish and die slowly. After The God Wars Seren departed from Gielinor (by Guthix, who forced gods out so they could free mortals from their influences) and knowing the elves depended on her, shattered herself across the forest of Isafdar to protect them.

Zaros

Zaros is the God of Control. He is called the Empty Lord and is associated with fate and the mastery of shadows. At the height of his reign, he was the strongest god before banished by Zamorak in the Second Age. Before this, however, he ruled over most of Gielinor and on one of his many fortresses scattered across the land, he is still found. Along with Seren, he is the the oldest non Elder God. Zaros and his followers have a faction in Mahjarrat and the followers within aim to aid his return after he cast his body off to avoid death at the hands of Zamorak. Zaros is "cursed" by Mah, this curse is that everyone around him will worship him.
