You'll have to forgive Dusk. He doesn't enjoy speaking to strangers. So I'll do it for him.
Dusk is abrasive, callous, and uncaring. He has also saved my life many times over when he had no reason to. He refuses to answer for his actions, and refuses any repercussions from others. He won't let me thank him.
He speaks of his past rarely, and as if it were a knife in his chest. I've gathered just enough to understand that he was born as a slave in Morrowind. He escaped, and drifted amongst mercenary groups, moving far far away from the province.
And then the sadistic machine of fate took away his freedom. Higher powers saddled him with a torturous destiny. The empire shipped him back to Morrowind where he would serve as a voiceless agent. Dusk was made a slave again of the people who had abused him for so long.
He has lived in darkness since the world stopped needing him. The fire and ash of his heart makes way for erratic actions and rage. Being on his own for so long has done nothing to cool the embers, only served to drive the knife in further. Dusk is unpredictable. Dusk will save your life.
