Jaskel has a huge personality, always smiling and laughing and telling stories. Some find that he can be a bit grating at times because he is constantly yammering away. Jaskel loves nothing more than to educate others on the things he finds most fascinating, or even just something that he recently read. It is rare that one will ever see Jaskel without a non-fiction book in his paw.
Jaskel adores ancient history, more specifically, anything pertaining to Egypt around 3000 BC. Listen to Jaskel for just a few minutes and you are bound to learn that the pyramids were built around 3000 BC. He also adores Stonehenge, and every other ancient stone structure, completely fascinated by their mysteries.
When Jaskel was traveling in his youth, he managed to bum his way, on very little money, to Egypt to fulfill his lifelong dream of visiting those pyramids. On that venture, he explored many of the cities along the Nile River. In one town in particular he came across an old merchant who had many rare and antique wares. Jaskel befriended his old salesman and spent many days returning to his stall to exchange stories.
On his final day in Egypt, the old merchant gave Jaskel a pair of old, custom glasses. This is Jaskel's one true treasure and even though his vision is 20-20, he wears them with tremendous pride.
Among his pair of glasses, he also wears four golden bangles on each of his front paws. Oddly enough, he doesn't mention these bracelets much in his endless ramblings, but it's thought they were given to him by a family member.
