Levi is very serious, and holds a stoic expression. He can be surprisingly crude and he's often blunt to get his point across. He comes off rather unapproachable. People are often surprised by the way he acts. It's also been said that he can be difficult to be around.

He seems to have OCD. He comments on how titans are 'dirty' and even goes so far as to clean his blade in a combat area. At one point he forces his entire team to clean the old fort they were staying in. He inspected a room that Eren had cleaned, deemed it 'unsatisfactory', and told him to start over.

He's humanity's strongest soldier. He joined up with the Survey Corps suddenly, recruited by Erwin Smith. It's rumored that he used to work underground and was quite a thug before joining up with Erwin.

Although he seems to have a problem with authority,(Most notably the Military Police) he respects structure and discipline. He even comments about training Eren like a dog at one point.

He takes responsibility for Eren, saving his life. He says that Eren is humanity's greatest hope and is dedicated to keeping him alive and safe. This being said, he is obviously invested in Eren.

Relationships

Erwin Smith: His superior officer. He has an immense amount of respect for Erwin. Erwin recruited Levi from the 'Underground' some years before. At the beginning Levi joined him grudgingly.

Zoe Hanji: A close personal friend. One of the few people who feel comfortable enough with him to tease him. Hanji gave him the nickname, 'Clean-freak.'

Eren Jaeger: Eren greatly admires and respects Levi. Levi offers him guidance and has shown care for his safety and well-being. Eren strives to impress Levi.
