Backstory[Overview] Surako is a wandering mage hailing from the long-lost region of Shengui Guo. She prefers channeling her powers through caligraphy, writing spells in scrolls to alter the world around her as needed, but is also well-versed in the manner of traditionally making spells through components. These spells are generally the ones she sells in her services to other Subetans, as well as handmade charms used for luck, etc..

[Personality & Habits] She is soft-spoken and prefers to keep a clear head, passing over the common vices on her travels unless she is outright on holiday. She used to rush head-on into situations where the weak and disenfranchised were in danger, but is more inclined to figure things out as opposed to blundering in like a hotheaded Chronic Hero. While on holiday, she prefers drinking the alcohol native to her homeland, which she rarely returns to.

[Backstory] Surako was raised as part of a prestigious family of mages, and was tapped to be married to someone of equal prestigious stature to lead the family. At some point, she had a falling out due to this and left to wander and find her fate. After several years of not being on speaking terms, she finds that she has started to get letters back from them asking how she's doing...

[Minion] Surako's minion is an Incendo named Fortune. This creature is the only one she brings with her on her travels - the rest stay in her workshop next to Nothtri's forge, where they like to frequently cause trouble. Fortune uses its orb to scry locations from a distance or to help see the unseen.

[Relations] Surako is married to Nothtri, a swordsmith dwelling in one of the many unchecked calderas and lake regions of Veta. They met while she was lost in the wilderness, and bonded over their mutual sense of searching for a personal purpose. She comes to visit him whenever she is in the region.
