Description

I submitted a formal report back when this originally occured, but let me summarize what happened.

We were having a some sort of issue with the storage servers, our probing tools isolated an issue with stack 0, the fifth rack.
Storage array 17 was showing no response, completely offline, along with all the files still on the server.
It was an admittedly important research array harboring information about time research and our supervisors were not happy it was inaccessible.

We sent two techs in to check on the physical enclosure, lo' and behold after popping open the door we found this little man ripping apart cables between racks 16 and 18, the server that was there before nowhere to be seen.

At first we thought he might be eating them but he seemed more panicked then anything, thrashing around in the cables trying to find an escape.

He flopped onto the ground and skittered under a nearby table. We had to lure him out with a shiny little USB drive and some loose keyboard keys but he's been pretty friendly ever since.

Doesn't seem to be doing any harm since we let him out, occasionally collects little trinkets and brings them back to this desk in building C.
Supervisors think somewhere in that weird clock face of his the files are still there, call it a hunch of wistful thinking, but they were adamant that he is office property and shouldn't be allowed offsite.

We never did find the original server, ended up replacing it and with no where to go he's just become a part of the office.

Interesting ain't it?

We all have different names for him, at first we were calling him oh-five-seventeen but he's collected several nicknames over the past few years. Feel free to call him what you want but he responds to 5-17 and Muffins.
