While the the rest of her family is shrouded in mystery, Everwood is well known to the locals of Riverside Valley. This is mostly due to her employment under Ernie, Peka Glades premier botanist. When it first became clear of her relation to the house on the hill, she was endlessly pestered with questions. Everwood however, has never answered them, merely smiling and seamlessly changing the subject. Noted as friendly and outgoing, the locals would eventually describe Everwood as well, kind of off.

This was mostly due to a unique problem that seemed to literally follow her. Moths.

While everyone in the vicinity of Peka Glade is no stranger to insects, the moths that came with Everwood were different. They were ever present. Not in a way to cause destruction or nuisance - in fact they never seemed to leave Everwoods personal space. But rather they were just, there. Always. It was impossible to see Everwood without one or two scattered on her body. Sometimes she’d acknowledge them, but often she seemed to pay them no mind. This was with the exception of the atlas moth often plastered to her shoulder. Large, even for an atlas moth, she’s often seen mumbling to it.

Like questions related to her family, Everwood has a gift of avoiding all conversation surrounding the insects. This is, again, with the exception of the atlas moth, who she introduces as “Silk” to those who ask. Even Ernie, when pestered about them, merely shrugged, stating they don’t affect her work.
