Subeta is full of rags to riches stories but none are quite like pop sensation Kitanna! The once homeless pet started out working at a taco stand

where Kitanna not only found an addiction to the food she served but she also met her longtime minion: Spazzle. Spazzle was a local scavenger who loved nothing more than to listen to free open-air concerts around town during summers. He also introduced Kitanna the local rock scene by the shores of Delphi Beach

This led quickly to many memorable days at the popular sunny resort. Fate took an interesting twist as the young Blacklight continued her carefree ways. Notorious rock mogul Comorin caught her performing in front of a enthusiastic crowd at the bar

Alongside her bandmates: Attreyu, and Babhru, Kitanna thrashed her head back and forth, letting her freak mane fly until she finished her last song with the now famous line, "That's all, Cupcake!" Comorin took the naive band and reinvented them with a new look, and new name: Kitanna & The Pretties. It was a meteoric rise to fame as tracks like "Big Sky, Fly High" and "Taste My Rainbow" hit the dance floors all over the world! But life on the road, and memories of simpler times in Delphi Shore made Kitanna lonely despite her success.

DarkMonday was able to talk to the pop princess before she made a shocking move to go into seclusion away from the public. Her whereabouts are a mystery although there have been sightings in an array of places from the dark corners of Shadow Glen all the way to the cosmos of Ziara! She has since been dropped by her music label and replaced as the lead singer of the band now called The Pretties.

DarkMonday:Thank you for talking with me today, Kitanna!
Kitanna: It's what I do these days, and I don't mind so much anymore. I think I've gotten used to it...although--
DarkMonday Although?
Kitanna:I wasn't the sort of musician that had a formal training, I just loved to sing as long as I could remember....I didn't really want a world platform. I just wanted to belong somewhere...sounds cliche, but I've learned a lot of people feel that way.
DarkMonday Your song "It's Like This..." talks about your interaction with fans, and their response to your success. Is it a little overwhelming?
Kitanna: Yes. I know, it sounds ungrateful. I thought it was kind of cool, people loving the music but then it turned into this whole Cake Eaters thing.
DarkMonday:Cake Eaters? You mean your fans, right?
Kitanna:That's what some of the more hardcore call themselves. There's like a whole movement with my face on these tees with cupcake cartoonish looking drawings.
DarkMonday:And your band mates?
Kitanna:: It wasn't about the songs anymore. What I said when the act was over, entertaining people, became important. Some didn't like it at first.
DarkMonday: And now?
Kitanna: They think it's bonkers. They love that whole bit, but it's not their faces on it. At first it was about the spotlight, and it bugged them. But then we got to travel more, see more places, and famous faces...that sort of thing. And they didn't really care about who got what as long as we're rolling it in.
DarkMonday:I guess the million sp question is if you're happy.
Kitanna: Sort of...I have a roof over my head, and bills are all caught up. But I'll tell ya, there are days when I wish I could drink a mojito and eat a fish taco in Delphi without a crowd. Then there are days I want to just relax somewhere in the Omen Islands or Sacred Lands...but our schedule won't let it happen...at least for now.
DarkMonday: So what does the future hold for Kitanna! And The Pretties?

Since the disappearance of Kitanna! from the limelight, there are constant rumors the Blacklight beauty with a taste for tacos, and cupcakes may just return.
