In fact, you probably wouldn't be able to find a soul in Subeta who looks forward to this holiday more than this particular blue-merle Kumos does... perhaps with the exception of Melody or Santa himself, of course.
As a puppy, Engelo lived a fairly quiet and secluded life in the Arctic Frost. Up in these freezing slopes, Engelo and his family seldom had visitors or even saw other Subetans!
Engelo's parents used to tell him bedtime stories about a holiday called Luminaire that most Subetans practiced by sharing food, presents, desserts, and decorations with their families and friends. From the moment Engelo heard these stories, he was completely and utterly intrigued- some would even say obsessed- with anything and everything involving Luminaire celebrations.
Engelo obsessively collects any items he can get his paws on that are either red, green, or resemble Luminaire festivities in some way, making his vast, colorful collection quite a sight to see!
Each year Engelo and his trusted (and equally Luminaire obsessed) friend Luna make the trek up to the top of the Arctic Frost to visit Melody and collect the wonderful gifts she has to offer throughout the month of December. After all of the gifts are collected, Engelo and Luna come back home and throw a huge celebration to hand out the presents to their friends and families. Together, Engelo and Luna throw celebrations full of food, drinks, and gifts all month long. They work hard to make sure everyone can feel the love, as life in the Arctic Frost can be a bit isolating.
There are many reasons why this is Engelo's favorite time of year, but the special feeling of being your hometown's own personal Santa Claus is quite hard to beat!
