Deep in the darkest parts of Ebbington Wood, a strange tree stood. Its trunk was massive, its branches were thick and seemed to loom over all the other trees. Thick tall grasses grew around it but you could make out a well worn path to the tree. Looking closer you could make out a heavy wooden door with a lamp hanging nearby. There was even a window with crown glass panes and curtains not quite pulled shut. Within this large tree was a creature no longer quite what he once was. He was rustling about, his thick crimson robe pulling up the dust around his feet. He was mumbling something to himself and in a sharp chirp he called out.
"Bramble?!"
Out came running a grassy looking creature, it made a rustling grunting sound as it listened to it's master.
"Ah, there you are!" Baugoth smiled looking down at the shurbbish beast. "I need you to go out into the wood and gather me a few items." He stated as he put a finger to his lip, a thick golden braclet softly sliding down his wrist as he calculated the amounts he needed. "A half dozen night shade berries, a few sprigs of thyme, four river rocks, and three tadpoles in their third stage." He paused for a moment then smiled and gave the green beast a pat "and gather some blue berries and black berries for us a snack?"
With that the little beast wagged it's body excitedly and let out a rough leafy "Wrrough" and out of the door it went.
Baugoth sat back onto a stump like chair, he glanced over to the table and realized he had forgotten all about the catnip tea he had made earlier. He touched the side of the tea pot and mumbled something and suddenly steam shot from the spout! He poured his hot brew into his tea cup and sighed. "Sometimes, being a shaman can have it's benefits" he said under his breath to himself and took a sip. He began to remember the days before he had dedicated himself to being a Shaman. He remembered as a cub he would go into one of his favorite spots, Big Bowl. He could still remember the delicious smells that wafted around the shop. Oh and the wondrous taste of the soups! His mouth began to water but he quickly shook his head knowing he could not leave his deep forested home until he came up with something to combat those rotten rats from the big city.
He looked into the soft golden brown liquid in is tea cup and sighed "I wonder how Ole Dusty is..."
