The shaman-apprentice dog

Where bad things happen
For a long time, back when the fairies created this world, there were twelve tribes that fought for humanity’s survival among a world of beasts and wild creatures. Back then, when Emptiness woke up for the fifth time, all of the twelve tribes fought together to bring it down, and the tribe of the dogs took front – raised inside the mountains, they were natural, strong warriors with a great sense of justice and protection.
When Emptiness finally decided to strike, the dog tribe was over. As morning came, every single one of the members was found dead, or not found at all – no men, women or children, except for one. During the investigations, one baby was found unharmed, among corpses and remains from fights, and was taken in by the Zodiac. The dog tribe genocide is still being investigated to this day, as many try to grasp what could have caused that much havoc.
Eventually, when the eleven remaining tribes managed to hold back Emptiness, it was decided that the baby should have a chance at life, and so he was taken in by Amelia and Arthur, members of the Rabbit Tribe and the Tiger Tribe, respectively. It is unknown, yet, if the dog tribe might make a comeback someday.

Denahi, from the dog tribe
After the events from twenty-five years ago, Denahi is now twenty-six, and a shaman apprentice. He was raised by a strong-headed mother, Amelia of the rabbit tribe, who measured no efforts to make sure he became as strong as her. His father, Arthur of the Tiger tribe is a gentle giant, with great love for his two sons; they have another child, Hann, from the Rabbit tribe. Den had a tough, but fun childhood, among a big family with a lot of different people and tribes. Although efforts were made, no other members of his tribe were found to this day, so there are a lot of expectations for Den to re-establish his tribe one day. He joined the Zodiac as soon as he turned eighteen, to have a shot at seeing Emptiness once again and bringing justice to his tribe – later on, as he was brought closer to his guide spirits, he decided to follow through his father Arthur’s footsteps and became a shaman apprentice. Den works for the Zodiac as an investigator, and is married to Mita, from the Horse tribe, who is secretly expecting his baby.

The dog and his family
Denahi is around 176cm tall, with a light-brown skin and straight, long-ish black hair and green eyes. He’s twenty-six, and is a sweet, calm guy, who mostly appears polite and reserved. He has a strong sense of justice and morality, possibly due to his origins and his mother. His guide takes the form of a white, big wolf-dog, resembling a shamanic totem, and he has a huge affinity to earth overall. He’s a family-guy, with good humor and politeness, with a touch of mischief and silliness sometimes. He’s happily married to Mita, a childhood friend.
Den is trusty and faithful, who does anything and everything for his family and friends, and measures no efforts when it comes to it.

He's a calm, composed leader tho takes care of the mountains all around the north, helping humans, beasts and animals with his spiritual guidance. Most of those who've seen his wolf form may think of him as an urban legend, some even fear him, as he's very protective of animals and nature around him. He's a vegetarian and personally loves berries.
