Somewhere out there, little friends gather quietly in the corner.
It's time for some stories with the Sumikko friends.
はじまり、はじまり。

Shirokuma
A polar bear that hates the cold. Shirokuma fled the north to get somewhere warm and found the corner and other Sumikko. Their favorite minikko is Furoshiki, a special blanket that they often use to save space in the corner. Shirokuma loves to sew and draw and enjoys drinking hot tea in the corner. Shirokuma was he fourth Sumikko to find the corner.

Penguin?
Are they a penguin? They're not really sure. They think at one point they had a plate on their head and used to float down the river. Penguin? has no self confidence and is always reading books trying to find themselves. Their favorite minikko is a very special Yellow Tapioca, and they love cucumbers more than just about anything. Penguin? was the first Sumikko to find the corner.

Tonkatsu
A piece of tonkatsu that was left behind for being too greasy - he is 99% fat and 1% meat. Tonkatsu found the corner to avoid being thrown out. Their favorite minikko is Ebifurai no Shippo, a piece of ebifry that was left behind for being too hard. Together, their dream is to one day be eaten! Tonkatsu was the second Sumikko to find the corner.

Neko
A shy, easily embarrassed cat that is uncomfortable in their soft, round body - they don't think they look the way a cat should look. Their favorite minikko is Zassou, a positive weed that wants to one day grow up to be a bouquet. Neko loves to eat, and they scratch the wall when they're embarrassed. Neko was the third Sumikko to find the corner.

Tokage
One of the last of the dinosaurs, Tokage pretends to be a lizard because he's afraid he will get his friends captured if anyone found the truth. Their favorite minikko is Nisetsumuri,a slug pretending to be a snail. Tokage misses his mother, who is an aquatic dinosaur living in Lake Sumi. Tokage was the last Sumikko to find the corner.

Minikko
There are many minikko: Obake (a shy ghost that loves to clean and make coffee); Hokori (dust balls that live in the corner), Suzume (just an ordinary sparrow), many other Tapioca - and many many more. The corner is never empty, and the Sumikko are never lonely because there are so many friends.
