Being put through the Rift is a nightmarish experience. If you threw a camera in the rift and it were protected of it's deforming properties, it would be constantly obfuscated by it's blinding light. The chaotic storm of flashes that takes up the rift as a whole never stops. Like a thunder that never ceases, it curves it's path into nothingness again and again, without ever hitting anything. But this one, in the rift, does. It creates branches that also creates branches, like roots growing out of lightning, and those are the ones that hit thing unfortunate enough to be there. But for every object hit, the thunder creates twice the branches. It never stops. It has never stopped and now, everything is thunder in the rift. You can't escape being hit by it because it's everywhere, everywhere is thunder, the rift itself is thunder. Being hit by it is not very different than being hit by thunder, either. It hits you with much more than your body can handle, and it flows through you looking for an exit, and when it can't find one, it spreads, looking for exits all over your body. It burns everything everywhere it flows, cauterizing every wound as soon as it makes it. But in the rift you're floating, so there's no escape. There's no laws of physics that govern conductivity, it's all chaos there. The thunder of the rift finds it's way out of your by changing your body to create exits. It makes you grow eyes, mouths, teeth, it changes your body to accept the new rules - or the lack thereof - of the rift and that means the changes made to your body don't have to make sense. Then, the rift spits you out, so it can be alone with itself, even if it changed you to accommodate it. You don't belong there, even if it remakes you. The first thing you feel when you're out? Agonizing, harrowing, excruciating pain.
