Some say that obsessive behavior is one sign of insanity, but I've been called insane before, so why care now?
You were just standing there, laughing with your friends. Such a cute laugh. Everything in you looked just... So perfect! I could tell how kind you were just by looking at you.
As you left to take a shower, I approached your friends. I swear that I tried to keep it at just small talk, but the urge of knowing more about you was too strong. They told me your name, your age, where you all were from. People nowadays will easily open up to strangers. Don't they realize how dangerous people can be?
You come out of the shower just as your friends are waving me good bye. I decide that it's now or never and approach you. I've never had problems talking to people before, but just seeing your eyes fix on me got my heart racing. My heart only goes this fast when I have something sharp in my hands. Oh but I would never hurt you! You're are too precious! I'll keep you safe, no matter what!
We talk until his friends come back. They invite me to go out with all of them. I look at you. I feel like you want me to go, but unfortunately I have some business to finish on this town tonight. Specially since I plan on leaving at whatever time you guys are leaving tomorrow.
I'll follow you to anywhere you go. I need to make sure that you're safe. The world is a dangerous place, with many dangerous people. Believe me, I know.
I'm still busy when night falls. As I'm returning to my room, I notice two of the guys sharing the room with us standing by the door. They're looking inside and whispering to each other. I pass by them and our eyes meet. This men... No, they are not like me. People like this are just disgusting. I glare at them and walk towards my bed. Unfortunately I cannot fall asleep. Not with you sleeping right there in the same room as me. Your face looks so peaceful. You breath slowly, your mouth slightly open. Your lips look so soft. I want to touch them.
I want to touch you.
When the sun comes out, I make my way towards the communal kitchen. I sit there thinking about you. It's funny how you were heading to the town that I used to live just some weeks ago. I ponder for some hours if it would really be safe for me to follow you there, but it's true when they say that the heart speaks louder than the brain.
Around noon you and your friends appear at the kitchen. I discretely shoots some glances towards you, but I guess I wasn't discreet enough, as you walk away from your friends and approaches me. You sound sleepy. So cute. I can't help but smile at you. I invite you to sit but you inform me that you and your friends will leave really soon. I frown. I wish I could go with you guys. I don't want to take my eyes away from you. I look outside considering which bus I should catch to look inconspicuous. It's two hours till the town you guys were going.I watch you guys leave.
I guess having friends is pretty nice...
Meh.
I wait one hour and then catch the bus.Arriving at the small town, it wasn't difficult to find them. Tourists can be so loud. They make their way inside of the only hotel in town. I wait on a nearby alley. After watching you guys leave, I check myself in. The desk lady is surprised that I'm back in town so soon, but I tell her that work sent me back as I had some unfinished jobs here.
I step outside to smoke and notice something interesting. The two bozos from the hostel were there, looking at a map. They spot me, but I don't think they recognized me. Could they really be...?
Nah, there is no way they are like me.
As night comes the sky gets cloudy, covering the moon and bathing the town in darkness. While considering if I should smoke another cigarette, I spot you. You're walking back by yourself in the dark? Don't you know about the dangers of this world? Have no one warned you about the disappearances around this town? I shake my head in disbelief. You saw me! My heart almost melts at the smile you crack when recognizing me. You look so happy to see me.
Usually people... Don't look happy when they see me...
We go inside and sit by the front hall. You bought so many frivolous stuff. It's so adorable. The way you excitedly show me your finds and explain the story behind each item. I barely hear anything, as all I can see is your face. I want to touch you so badly. We spend hours talking, mostly about you. I want to know everything about you. You don't need to know about me.
You shouldn't know anything about me.
Suddenly you jolt up, telling me how late is. You look so concerned. How dare your friends make you like this!? It hurts my heart to see you like that and not being able to restrain myself any longer, I reach out and touch your shoulder. You feel so warm. I can feel your heartbeat going faster.
It worries me that you might try to go after your friends, the face of those two thugs flashing in my mind. I warn you of the dangers of towns like this and try my best to reassure you. He looks down, tears forming on his eyes. It hurts so much to see you so sad and worried. I lift your chin and place my other hand on your cheek. You look surprised and your face is beet red. You look so adorable. I can't help but step closer. Your lips looking more and more inviting.
Suddenly you step away, looking shyly at the clock in the wall. You decide to go to your room and rest. As much as it pains to be apart from you I nod and wish you a good night. I watch you take the elevator while reaching for my pockets. Good, my trusty knife is still there.
I'm sure I'm gonna put it to use today.
I walk around town looking for the two grunts from earlier. I don't think they are like me. They shouldn't have come here. I already know this town fairly well. Around 4 am I make my way towards one of the abandoned neighborhoods. Avoiding the gravel path, I silently walk around the houses, looking for any signs of movement. I'm sure it would make you so happy if I found your friends! You wouldn't have to be worried anymore! I giggle to myself and look ahead. A faint light. Of course they are at the old general store. It's the biggest building around there and even I have to admit that it's pretty neat to explore.
I circle the building. my eyes are just used to all this darkness by now. I can't say that I can see clearly as day, but I no longer require a flashlight to stroll around on this abandoned spots of town. I enter the building and immediately stop. This smell... Something is not good. I inhale heavily. I never get tired of this smell. Metallic, almost rusty.I must have inhaled too loud, as someone approaches me. They don't have a flashlight on them.
Yeah, they are definitely not like me.
I swiftly take my knife out of my pocket and crouch. Footsteps get louder and louder. A quick stab to the calve gets a scream out of the guy, but another right at his throat cuts it short, replacing it by a familiar gurgling sound. I support his body, dragging him slowly to the ground. A baseball bat? Seriously? Amateur.
His stupid friend follows after him, not grabbing a flashlight either. I notice the machete on his hand. Perfect. Subduing him wasn't difficult, but he did put more of a fight than his friend. Of course someone with more experience always wins. I hit him several times with his own weapon. Pathetic.
I can hear you struggling and run towards the light. You have your back turned at me and I can see your bruised wrists. I cut the rope with my knife and you quickly turn to face me. My god, what did they do to you? You have blood and bruises all over your face, an ugly cut along your cheek. My stomach fills with anger and I quickly cut through the rope binding you to the chair.
As I'm considering going back at the dark to splurge this rage on their disgusting bodies, I feel your arms wrap around me. You're so happy that I'm here. I'm so happy that I found you in time. We hug for some seconds before you slowly pull away.
As I'm about to talk, you kiss me. I almost go crazy. The taste of your mouth filled with blood feels almost unreal. My tongue explores all the sore spots inside, trying to taste more. You pull away and hug me again. I feel dizzy and almost dazed. You're so cold. I wrap my arms around you, petting your head softly. Your taste still lingering on my mouth as I lick my lips trying to catch some smudged blood you left behind.
I love you. I love you so much. I never felt like this before. I've felt many interesting feelings before. Conventional things barely brings me any happiness. I learned about who I was from a very young age. I embraced it. Looking at certain people and thinking "are they like me?".
They were, but they weren't. Just some losers trying to ride on my spree. Cowards.
We walk outside. The sun is rising. It looks so peaceful. I hope I can see many sunrises by your side. I notice you stepped away from me, a concerned expression on your face. You start to make some questions. It makes sense that you would be curious. I dismiss your worries, keeping a warm smile on my face. The important thing is that you're is safe. you just nod and hugs me. What a good boy.Convincing you not to tell the police was fairly easy. You shouldn't be this easily manipulated, my love. You're so lucky that you have me by your side to keep you safe.
My dream did came true and we became lovers. Although you always brings me so much happiness, it is very difficult to let go of old habits. I'm lucky that you lived in such a big city. Killing here is not difficult at all and I don't have to worry about leaving after some time.
We can stay together forever.
It surprises me that you still wanted to go out in vacation after what happened when we met. I guess you must feel really safe with me! We pass by I hostel and I remember the day we first met. How lovely you looked.
I jokingly tell you about staying there for the night. A frown appears on your face and I realize what I said, feeling quite guilty. What you said next caught me by surprise:
"what if we share a room with a psychopath again?".
I chuckle to myself. I don't think there is many like me around here, but I reassure him that I was just kidding and that we'll have a lovely night at a hotel.
Pfffft. Sharing a room with another psychopath. What are the odds of that!
