They say storms happen in March and April where I live. Most of the storms actually take place in June and continue well into August. It is considered a blessing if they bring rain with them, and an ill omen if it is only lightning. Heavy rains bring a deep soak, while gentler rains won't lodge your wheat. In asking rain from the heavens one should take care to request a certain kind of rain, because it can also cause floods and mudslides.

Storms of the soul are an all season situation with a lifelong journey in tear soaked valleys of all kinds, from rocky chasms of heart wrenching turmoils to the flower covered graveyards of lives shattered in the wars and strife that are so much a part of our existence here. Suffering as they say, is both inevitable and preventable, from without, and from within. Tears are how we express what cannot be said in any other way, things for which there should not be words usually turn to tears. That is how we were made. Weeping is expression and release. Sometimes they turn to something that feels more like acid on your face.
