There's only one power that's punishable by death. Necromancy.
My name is Tao, and I was born with the power to raise the dead. I never have, I probably never will. I can never tell anybody what I am. I don't want to have this power, it scares me. And yet, it's a part of me. I'm careful, so careful, all the time.
There's another necromancer out there, in the city, in Nomos, and they're killing people. I have to stop them. I don't have a choice. I don't want to be a hero, I don't want to be the one who swoops in to save the day. I didn't sign up for this. But there's nobody else I can trust. It's just me. So I'll do it. Even if it means risking everything.
