Madison was my best friend for all of the fifteen years that I had her...and her spot in my heart will never be replaced. She was very smart, maybe too smart. She noticed little things, like birds or planes in the sky as a puppy and would watch them. She had a massive vocabulary, of both words I'd taught her, and words she picked up all on her own by observing. You couldn't keep secrets from that dog! I swear she was trying to LEARN our language to communicate with us! If her mouth would have let her, I think she would have talked to us at a very young age. And boy did she listen. Any time I talked to her, she would sit and tilt her head, and stare at you. She took in everything we told her.

She was VERY active and fun-loving. Her favorite thing to do was chasing a ball, or having others chase her. She loved to run! She also loved Christmas, and opening her presents! She was born/grew up on Hawaii, and her puppyhood was spent playing there. But when she moved away for the first time, her whole world opened up. She got to chase squirrels, find large bugs, and play in the snow for the first time ever! She was so aware of the world around her, and everything in it, that sharing new experiences with her made you want to go out and experience the world too. Life felt vibrant and full of color with her around. I have so many memories, I can hardly hold them all...she was a blessing and will always be precious to me.
