During some of the same years we had Madison, we had another adorable pup called Sophie. For some reason, the Malticorns on Subeta keep reminding me of her. Maybe because the Common one is white, has fluffy floppy ears, a lot of head fuzz, and even a slightly puppy-like face! But since I really wanted to go the Dawn route, and since Sophie wasn't a unicorn, but a dog (making her closer to the Ruffie rather than a Malticorn) I named this memorial pet a little differently. Regardless, Sofia is in memory of Sophie, and has/likes a lot of the things Sophie did. Or the things we thought Sophie would.
Sophie herself was quite an unusual find! Our old dog at the time had gotten sick, and our mom was at the vet, hoping to save him, but he would have to be put down that day. While in the waiting room, someone found a small white puppy, and was trying to leave it with the vet, but the vet couldn't take it. The woman was in a hurry and didn't know what to do with the puppy. Mom took her in, and we ended up keeping her. We did try to figure out where she came from, but never found anyone looking for her, and nobody ever contacted us about her. I will forever wonder where she came from, because we did a DNA breed test on her once...she was a PUREBRED Bichon Frise!!
She was probably one of the cutest puppies ever too! She was so precious!! She was very sweet, goofy, and also quite motherly. She was an amazing mom to any kittens that came into our care, even though she'd been fixed and never had any litters herself. She loved to mother, whether it was kittens or her own beloved toys. She had many toys she liked, but she seemed to have a few pig toys in particular she liked! She was so cutesy and angelic looking, I always figured if she could talk and choose her favorite things, she'd be the girliest girl ever! Liking all things pink, pretty, cute, lovey and fairy. So that's what a lot of this pet's treasures are made of!
