notes about Cale while I work on him:
Basically only becomes Telamaine’s follower because he reminds Telamaine of Andi so much - and Telamaine wants to prove he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Except once he actually rescues Cale, he realizes he’s nothing like Andi because Cale’s a little shit.

Now Telamaine is stuck with this little shit as his second-in-command, and since he sort of stole Cale before Virgil could get him, Cale has essentially had no training and has no idea what he’s doing. Good thing Telamaine doesn’t plan on dying.
