Micheal is shy, but polite. He cares deeply about how others feel and is understanding of any fears or personality quirks that they may have. He would make a great friend, but he doesn't have a lot of friends. Micheal has one quirk that others find too strange to look over. He is an ontra...so something must be wrong with him - is what they think - maybe they will 'catch' whatever it is. Otherwise they don't want to be seen hanging out with an ontra with such a strange quirk...

Micheal is scared of water. When he was only a few days old he had a near-drowning incident. Micheal was swimming in veta lake, alone, enjoying the feeling of water over his fur when he bumped his leg on a sharp rock. As he grabbed his leg in pain he started to sink. He lost his bearings as he tried to keep himself afloat. The pain was taking his whole leg over and he couldn't move it. He struggled against the pain but he was disoriented and couldn't work out which way was up. Eventually all he could feel was the water bringing him under as he gave up fighting. Luckily, a brave, caring jollin was making his way past the lake and looked over just in time to see Micheals last paw disappear under the water. He jumped in without delay and pulled Micheal to safety. He cleared his airways, calmed him down and bandaged his cut leg. The jollin was named Haiden and he was to become Micheal's best friend - almost a big brother.

The day after this incident Haiden visited Micheal to see how he was recovering. Micheal was so scared of been in the water he didn't even want to take a bath. As time progressed Micheal's fear only worsened, he wouldn't even walk within a few metres of the lakes edge and it was a struggle just for him to have a bath - only leaving the water an inch or two deep. Haiden couldn't bear to see the young ontra living like this, so he went and bought him two gifts.

One was an angelic potion, Haiden explained to Micheal that the wings the potion would give him could carry him over any body of water, so he didn't need to worry about falling in. The other was a rubber duck. Haiden told Micheal that whenever he had a bath he should take the rubber duck with him and watch how it floats, and remember that he will be ok - also to remember that Haiden would always make sure Micheal was safe.

Now Micheal is older, equivilent to about a seven or eight year old human.He is still scared of water, but he also still has his rubber duck - and many other duck items for that matter. That one rubber duck set off a love of ducks in Micheal. He admired how much they loved the water, and even though he is still scared of the water, he feels a lot safter with his ducks around.
