Although he appears to be some sort of demon, "Outsider" is actually a regular human being with physical mutations. His parents believed his birth to be a bad omen, and after years of neglecting him, his father finally decided to abandon the child. Miraculously, he was able to survive on his own, and he spent the rest of his time in solitude. Occasionally some would see a glimpse of the strange man while he would sneak into the town library after closing time. He had become a sort of myth to the town, who referred to him as "the Outsider".
The outsider had passed his time in isolation by studying all that he could find in the town library. Though he picked up these facts quickly, his lack of socialization throughout his life left him emotionless and completely unknowledgeable in everyday speech. Things like nodding and sarcasm puzzle his literal mind, and so he eventually decided to study human interaction by finally leaving his remote home. Recently, the outsider has found a subject that fascinates him greatly; a thief by the name of Zovage whom he now follows around wherever he goes.
