Jack Amos Sanderson

Vampire, born 1826 in Pike, Alabama, bitten 1854.

A personal servant of the Briar family, the most powerful and influential vampire clan in the world. His motives behind joining them are unclear, as it has been made apparent that he greatly dislikes them. Maybe he owes them a debt of sorts? Maybe he just needed a place to go? Only a select few know, and they won't give out his secret anytime soon.

Sometime during his lifetime, Jack was caught stealing packets of donated blood from a hospital in New Orleans. The doctor in question struck a deal with Jack; if he posed as a doctor and paid him all his wages, he would, in return, not only have as much blood as he wanted, but also the equipment he needed to drain blood out of his victims. Jack is infamously known for being cold when it comes to killing, mutilating and severing his victimsâ€™ body parts and then disposing of them in the bayou close to his secluded cabin. To this day, not a single person, human, vampire or the like, have gone up against â€œthe good doctorâ€ and have lived to talk about it. He is prone to carrying several scalpels with him at all times, and will put them to good use if the situation calls for it.

Jack is often mocked by the members of the Briar clan for having a job that requires him to interact and be courteous to humans. For the most part, he ignores the taunts, but it becomes hard on him from time to time; enough to where he needs to let off steam. It is here where he changes in personality from the polite Southern gentleman that everyone recognizes him by, to a rogue, rather frightening killer. These instances are where he is called upon by other vampire clans to do a little "cleaning up" for them, making himself an efficient assassin. Having surgical history helps as well: who would want to face a dangerous enemy with such knowledge on the human anatomy?
