- Maladriel, female, cursed dark elf. Previously a very skilled spy and spellsword, currently a half-centipede abomination.
- Venomous in both meanings of the word. Glutton for everything, especially attention, power, worship, praise and all things shiny. Cursed to constantly be ravenously hungry. Very bitter and angry.
- A former servant of the
god of change. Decided to switch allegiance to the
godslayer instead and has provided him with her well-established network of spies and assassins in Scapegoat's temple.
- Due to a failed assassination, she was punished for her hubris and carelessness and gifted with a hideous form and a ravenous appetite.
- Currently held captive and awaiting trial. Though she is shackled and unable to use magic, she still provides little nuggets of information to her captors in attempt to stave off her inevitable death sentence until the time is right. Despite currently serving the godslayer, she has since learned to be very wary with her allegiances and is waiting for her chance to get revenge.
- Though she is very proficient in magic, she is also very very keen on stabbing any nuisances with a well-placed jab from a pointed, carapace-covered leg.
- Surprisingly agile in her current form. Very very quick and nimble, able to scale walls. Can also support her entire weight by clinging to the ceiling with just a few pairs of legs.
Character appearance:
- Female, lean upper body. Her lower body greatly resembles an enormous Amazonian giant centipede with a dark, indigo carapace. At least 40 pairs of legs, though she is likely to grow new pairs and even regrow any missing ones.
- Attractive, elfish face. Dark bluegray, almost black skin. White hair, pinned back in a neat set of three braids.
- Glowing red eyes, with two more pairs of smaller, bead-like insect eyes above them and at her temples.
- Has a second insectoid mouth just at her waist. Occasionally, it seems to have a mind of its own and the mandibles and front legs may drag the unwary closer for a quick, painful venomous bite, or even a meal. Those who end up becoming a meal may witness a horrid display in their final moments; she is infested with the godslayer's "gift", a literal vessel of the viscous, writhing, worm-like parasites he uses to keep his followers pliable and obedient. She is, for all intents and purposes, a living, ticking bomb.
- Strangely enough, should she lose a limb, it will skitter away on its own.
- Usually only wears a tunic, or a soft, comfortable shirt with a belt or a sash around the waist. Very fond of jewelry, especially enchanted trinkets, though she has been stripped of all such belongings in her current predicament.
