Hello, my name is Sternenjaeger.
I'm a chaser of stars, a lover, and a hero in times of need.
Most of all though, I'm me. And there isn't much to really tell tales about.
Except maybe that I was the first, if not the only one, who cam to Pfoetchen's manison not out of need, but to be close to one of the rejects already living there. I moved there not for myself, but for Windspiel, whom I love more than even my own freedom.
I didn't have a home before this one, and I never needed one. I followed the shooting stars, I traveled where the wind would steer my wings, and I lived of what the tales of my journeys would feed me. I dind't have much, but I never asked more. Until I met him.
Now, I won't be the first to tell you the everlasting tale of love, of how the whole world suddenly revolves around the unearthly beauty of that one being, and nor will I be the last. The tale of love is an old one, and a new one, ever the same and ever different. Sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter, wonderful if it is mutal, tragic if it is denied. My plea for love was heard, and seldom did I have to fight for it. I had the unbelievable luck of falling in love with someone who would love me back unconditionally. It was, however, quite unexpected.
I had travelled long and far in my time, and met many a fair maiden. I liked toying with the girls, flirt if they let me, and I had no doubt I would one day meet one who would be special. I have also met many a man on my journey, and many that I would have called handsome, even beautiful, but I never thought of tham as more than rivals, men good enough to be popular with the girls I liked to impress.
Never, not even in my wildest dreams, would I have expected the one I fall in love with to be a man.
And yet that is exactly what happened.
Now, many who have met my man will laugh, and say that was an easy mistake to make, for they say he looks just like a girl - trust me, he is not, and I knew. I knew from the start, actually. Sure, he is as beautiful as many a woman would be, with his soft, slightly curly fur and light built. His features, too, are soft and kind, with big eyes just pleading for love. But he is, truly and visibly, a man. Shy, maybe, and sometimes a little vain, but there is no mistaking his straight, steady gait and toned body.
I had never seen myself fall in love with a guy, and yet a guy it was who made me settle down and chase the stars not for myself, but for him.
