Never Seen a Princess this Vicious

Fengo was born to a decently size tribe of wolves near the Omen Islands. Her parents were the leaders and they were a warring family. Anyone who encroached onto their territory was promptly ripped to shreds and feasted upon. The tribe did not believe in wasting a single thing and made sure to use the bodies of their enemies in literally anything they could come up with. From the moment she could walk, Fengo was taught how to fight. She was expected to be just as vicious if not more so than her own folks so that she may one day lead the tribe to better land. She was born at a rather impractical time as the land had dried up of its resources and what water was there was unfit for consumption. Not even the enemy would travel there now as there's next to nothing worth taking. Luckily they're the traveling type and have boats on standby to go to a better area and allow this one to replenish. They were a simple wolf group after all, they wanted to make sure they always had some sort of place to go back to when one dried up. Fengo lived like this for a good portion of her life and soon was able to take her parents place among the top ranks. This meant she would have to fight both and claim such a position and even though she loved them dearly she knew it had to be done. She had an entire list of things she wanted to change when she became the leader. This nasty tradition was going to be one of the first to go for sure. Since Fengo's parents were older and weaker she was able to claim victory over them effortlessly. She watched as their bodies were prepared for food, elixirs and tools. Her heart held heavy and she wondered if they had felt the same way when conquering their own families...
Her first mistake was not partaking in the meal made of her parents. She refused to eat their meat and claimed she was not hungry and that she was not going to let her portion go to waste, to let someone else take it. Her people were confused because this was tradition but she dared anyone who had an issue to challenge her and see how they would fare. Fengo's second offense was not finding a mate as soon as she gained leadership. She did not find anyone worthy of being by her side and would not choose at this time. her tribe was frustrated at this as many felt betrayed at the breaking of their century long traditions. She simply offered to duel against anyone who had an issue with this to settle it. Not even the strongest males could put her down, her father had raised her well. The third and final mistake was made when she underestimated the determination of those involved in the black market. They were not the only group to be targeted for their luxurious fur with intricate designs tattooed onto them but they were by far the most harassed when it came to those black market folks. There had always been a casualty or two when it came to warring against them and Fengo was determined to lessen the loss.
It had been raining for a solid week when those black market hooligans invaded again. Fengo took her strongest warriors and charged head on, refusing to lose any of them this time. She was excellent with a spear but her true magic was worked best with a bow. Hers laid flat on her back, she had a dual set of quivers on either side and she used her tail to load and fire the ammo. Her arrows were able to pierce even the toughest armor and their aim was true. It definitely looked strange to see a wolf wield a bow though it came natural to Fengo. They seemed to be winning until she heard the sharp cry of a pup in the distance. The realization when they had been invaded on two fronts devastated her soul. She quickly ordered her warriors to return to the tribe and defend all while the their enemy chased them there. The wolf tribe did their best but the order was soon given to retreat. Fengo would stay and free those captured. She was able to overpower a few of the black market bandits but she had been fighting in this awful rain and quickly began to tire out. She made one false move and suddenly she's in a cage with some of the others that had been taken. She did not lessen the loss as she had hoped. If anything she added to it. The guilt that ran through her mind was nearly unbearable and she would endlessly apologize to those she was caged with. They tried to soothe her but it was moot. She failed her people. She failed her family...
As they were on that boat the water began to rock pretty hard and the rain was even more fierce in the middle of the ocean. Fengo had heard stories about the creature who caused these weather events to occur and wondered if they were true all along. She and the others listened in on their captors as they seemed somewhat frantic and mentioned seeing something out on the sea. A shark perhaps? Or whale. It was the only two things she could think of that would be in the water at least. After a hard gust of wind hit the boat it was followed with a lightning bolt that pierced the hull. Fengo watched as the others began to panic and use their weapons to shoot off into the distance but she couldn't tell what they were trying to hit. Maybe she could bargain for their lives if she offered to hit it for them with her bow. She didn't get much time to ponder this offer as another bolt hit closer toward her and her captured people, causing the cage to break lose from its straps that tied it down to the boat. The cage slid to the edge of the boat and hit hard enough to cause a dent. Fengo hoped it would not tip them into the sea as there was no hope of surviving. Her worst fears were realized when a creature rammed into the boat and caused it to tip over, lightning creating a pattern of electricity across the sky. The cage as well as many of their captors were thrown into the water. Fengo held onto the cage's door and began to violently shake it to get it to open. It was simply too strong though as not even the tip of one of her arrows could take the lock off. She was able to get a glimpse of the beast that had targted them as it floated above the water where their prison had dropped. It was an angry thing, a dog of some kind. Those red eyes seemed to peer into Fengo's soul and she hated every second of it. It felt judgmental and evil. It wasn't long before she ran out of air, the others were already gone by the time she lost consciousness. Her heart was heavy with guilt. She was the one that caused this suffering. At least she would be punished for it...

Fengo's ears twitched as she heard the call of a bird overhead. Her eyes fluttered open and she took a deep breath. Sand. She could feel sand beneath her body. Did she not drown after all? Or was this the place her folks had warned her about? A place where everything seemed normal but she would be haunted by the sins she committed. She dare not think about it now. Her heart still pumped and her lungs would fill with air. Surely this meant she was still alive, no? She tried to get her bearings but she was also incredibly waterlogged and felt unable to move. She could tell she was in a cave of sorts and that it was warm. She was also laying on a small bed of sand which she found incredibly odd. She could hear something moving across the floor in the distance but she could barely lift her head to see what it was. By the time it approached it appeared to be another wolf though this one looked rather strange with his sooty body. White flames licked their paws as they walked and it made her nervous. His voice seemed strange to her.

"Hello."
"...."
"How are you feeling?"
"..."
"Well you were barely breathing and tied to some kind of chain. I can imagine that isn't a good feeling."
"...?"
"I found you on the beach before my enemies did so-"

Fengo suddenly felt threatened and managed to get up and flail a wild paw at him. Unfortunately he was far quicker than she and she was easily knocked over and unconscious again. When she awoke, the strange wolf had left some food for her in a bowl. The sound of metal could be heard deeper within the cave. She quickly ate and went to see what the noise was all about. She found the other wolf was actually making weapons out of iron! She'd never seen that before. When she approached he stopped what he was doing and turned to look at her. Fengo found out his name was Saiki and that he used to live in the same land as a dormant set of volcanos but they had decided to erupt one day. He had been caught up in their explosion and before he knew it he found himself here on these lands. When she told Saiki how she ended up on the beach he was amazed she even survived! She was surprised too and grateful she had lived but honestly felt guilty for what had happened to her people. He tried to comfort her but knew it would take time to heal. It sure took him awhile to accept his own fate after all. Fengo decided to stay with him and assist in making weaponry for him. While she did not like the fact he worked with those black market folks she would simply make her way elsewhere and find precious gemstones to make jewelry out of, just like her mother taught her. Over time Fengo got to meet his adversaries though she was never allowed to harm them despite the one water wolf trying to put an end to her all of the time! It was infuriating but she didn't want to upset the only other good thing she had in this world. If anyone was worthy of the title of her mate it was definitely him. He was fiercely protective and even shed blood after Fengo got into a tangle with that awful water wolf, Tantomile. He couldn't let her perish after what she'd been through! That simply wasn't fair!
The pair have since grown fond of each other and Fengo sees no reason to try to get back home again. This was her new home now. She had no traditions to meticulously follow. She was free from such things. She had a loving partner who would defend her to the bitter end and she would do the same for him. She would have it no other way.

Saiki
Fengo's cherished mate whom she would literally fight legions for. She's overprotective of him much to his dismay but truth be told he would have it no other way. She's fiercely loyal and always training to make sure she's the absolute top menace in the area just in case they are attacked. Despite them being mates neither one wants pups so they both live as peacefully as possible. Not that starting a family is even an option when they have enemies on the shoreline that like to ambush either one or the other when they're alone. Fengo doesn't mind ditching the "queen" status too much either. It's far more tranquil on these lands than back in her own home. Much less responsibility and she doesn't have to keep up some sort of generational peace treaty with people. She can practice her fighting skills without being constantly fussed at. She wouldn't trade Saiki for the world at this point.

Deo
A gentleman type creature that has targeted Saiki a time or two and nearly took him out. The fire wolf has had quite a few problems with this creature and his friend and so Fengo has taken it upon herself to protect Saiki the best she can. Sometimes when she goes out to find specific gemstones or metals for her mate, she will be attacked and have some sort of glass bottle filled with a mixture thrown at her. She's lucky enough to be quick on her feet and avoid these things. One even ate through the rock it landed on! Occasionally she will personally ambush Deo while Tanto is off somewhere, especially after Saiki is ambushed by Deo's companion and injured. She considers this payback for hurting her mate. Never outright tries to take his life though. Her mate doesn't want this for some reason even though Fengo is very capable of ripping him to pieces.

Tantomile
An unworthy rival. Fengo seems to believe that Tantomile is quite jealous of her and Saiki's relationship and thus the sea cat tries to sabotage them all the time. Or perhaps Deo orders her to do so while he comes up with some sort of concoction or something. Regardless of the reason, Fengo is very aggressive toward Tanto and will generally stop at nothing to get her away from the area. Saiki will not let his mate put the poor sea feline out of her misery though. Only allowed to rough her up and send her on home. Fengo does not understand why Saiki is so reluctant to have these two perish. But she will not disobey his word even if she can easily overpower him too. She simply refuses to lose him in such a manner. But she'll always keep her fiery eyes on the lookout for Tantomile.
