Dr Quail is the third member of Yinglong's private detective agency and the ultimate proof that three's a crowd. Of course, his presence and skill in medicine - almost nobody knows more about the human body than Dr Quail - might be greatly more appreciated if it weren't for his cold, unreactive, almost sociopathic personality. He takes far more interest in the dead bodies the agency encounters than is healthy and seems to have a thing for decapitation. Having quit his career as the Empress' physician in favour of solving crime, Dr Quail has turned his incisive mind, cool demeanor, and strong stomach to the cause of justice. Or, at least, the cause of photographing lots of gruesome murder scenes. Yinglong is somewhat fond of him. Ignatius is not. Dr Quail loves having patients that don't complain.
