Fumihiko Yuki lives in Kyoto, Japan. A young fashion designer, he is very much drawn to beauty, and looks down on things that are less than beautiful. This is carried over to his in-game persona. Hiiragi was originally intended to be used solely from a fashion perspective, but Fumihiko also began using The World as an outlet for role-playing. In the game, he was able to act on his feelings and frustrations, playing out the way he would have preferred to act in the real world. He began insisting that players refer to him as female, despite having a male PC.
Then Hiiragi met Sakaki. Finding the PC to be incredibly beautiful, he devoted himself to the other player, not knowing that the person behind the character was a ten year old boy. Sakaki turned out to be controlled by a virus known as AIDA(Artificially Intelligent Data Anomaly). The virus corrupted Sakaki, and he began to collect followers, leading to more and more infectees. Eventually, Sakaki led a coup d`etat against Moon Tree, a guild devoted to protecting newbies and stopping player-killers. Hiiragi, ever devoted and misguided, assisted his beloved Sakaki in this endeavor, but was defeated and, due to Moon Tree becoming an AIDA server, fell into a coma. Before falling unconscious, Hiiragi begged the party who had defeated him to stop Sakaki, hoping for his idol`s salvation.
Some time after the Moon Tree incident, a new bug surfaced in the game`s programming. Along with a few other members of Moon Tree, Hiiragi helped to fight some of its sorties, buying time for the bug`s defeat, and helping to save the server.
Though Hiiragi is hot-headed and selfish, he is a good man, and not inherently evil. His behaviour and personality can be offensive, and he can be quite abrasive and sharp-tongued, but more than anything, he cherishes beauty. He often speaks with honeyed words and a falsely compassionate attitude. He has a good heart and strong will, despite his unstable moods, but he is a very confused and fragile individual.
