The malticorn stares up at you with a vacant, cheerful . Its fur sparkles in the sunlight, but it seems to have a bad tixel infestation. Something else seems.. off about it.

It speaks, after a moment, in an annoying, surprisingly high pitched voice, "O HAI DERE! What can I do for yous? I has cake you can has if you wants."

Shocked, you stare at it. Unfortunately, it assumes that this means you want to hear more.

The pet tilts its head to one side, neck twisting in an almost unnatural manner. "OKIE! You can call me Sparkledog. Is kawaii name, ya? I's a malticorn, its a maltese-unicorn hybrid or somethang. I's also got sum wolf and angel and cat in me. YEAAAH."

It pauses, picking up a large piece of cardboard off the ground and holding it on its back with one paw.

"SEE? I has wings. I can make 'em appear and disappear whenever I wants!" Sparkledog pauses to scratch at an ear and drool on the floor, "I has some cool thingies, too. Come look!"

It drags you a few yards away to a potted cactus and licks it affectionately, apparently oblivious to the large needles now stuck in its tongue.

"Dis is Bob. He's one uh my only frands," the pet looks up at you hopefully, "Will you be my frand, too?"

You take a few nervous steps back and decide to run for it.
