Doncella
The Temple Priestess

Born an albino and the thirteenth daughter of superstitious parents,
Doncella was abandoned on the temple steps only hours after her birth.
There was no priest or priestess in the temple at that time, so the gods
trained and raised her themselves. They taught her the rituals that would
please them best and then once she was fully grown, they made her the
Temple Priestess, the very first to ever serve in the temple. Boddaway himself
carried the message of the monumental event across the world and many began
to come to learn the rituals.

These rituals varied wildly from the simplistic, to the downright frightening.
Because she was raised by the gods, she had knowledge of the light and the darkness.
Her job was not only to perform the rituals, but also the control of rampant dark powers,
to remove demons and restore souls. She has removed many demons and keeps them
trapped within the temple. Except when she needs them to do her bidding. She is the
most powerful mortal to walk the world, but still under the command of the gods.

Despite her power and direct contact with the gods, she became lonely. It wore
her down day by day. This was when I was sent for, it would be my job to solve the
problem. The gods told me that I could not match her with any immortal creature
that she served, or any mortal that was disrespectful to the gods. Doncella was to
know nothing of their plans until she met with the person I had selected. This was to
avoid a disaster like the one with Beautifully and Shadowed Siren. So I searched far
and wide, until finally I found Antiquary. He was the son of the mighty Saheric Emperor, but
he was very weak because his soul had been stolen at birth. He was sickly, but intelligent
and kind. I deemed him perfect and after receiving approval from his father and the gods
who did not see his lack of a soul as a problem. Doncella retrieved souls almost everyday.
They met and fell in love instantly. So she set about looking for his soul, but she could not
find it, then at the worst time, the Emperor was gravely injured in a battle and would soon
die. He knew that his son could not rule in his current state, nor could he marry and let his
new bride rule. The gods, Doncella and the Emperor concocted a plan. The Emperor
commissioned a great temple and through magic, his son and all his kingdom were locked
into the temple and it would only be opened when Doncella, blessed with immortality,
found the soul of Antiquary.

After almost 2,000 years, she finally retrieved it and as she was busy, sent the coordinates
to a young explorer and treasure hunter by the name of Blake Steele.
