The Beginning:
Herro wished his brother Ray would just shut up. He'd been talking nonstop for the last week about his supposed shrinking powers, but refused to show any of the rest of them because they "put too much strain on his body". How convenient. On top of that, his other brother Cap was too moody to talk to, ever since he got cursed by Merana. At least he had his new little buddy Mentachem. Chem was a Darkwing, a recent gift from Hunter. Herro was fascinated by the minion, especially the dark matter that swirled around his body. It was so cool! But every time Herro touched Chem or his matter, it gave his paws a sharp sting. He had to talk to Hunter about it.
"Hey Boss," he called as he strode into Hunter's room. "Not to be ungrateful, but why give me this minion pal I can't even pet?" "C'mon Herro," his owner retorted, "You haven't figured it out yet? That was just a teaser gift, since it cost next to nothing while I was saving up for your real present. You're lucky, because I just happened to have picked it up for you today." Hunter reached into a box, and pulled out a Darkmatter Potion! Herro was speechless. "Well?" Hunter asked. "...Oh. My. God. Thank you so much, boss!" He snatched the potion from his owner, downing it in one gulp.
A strange sensation came over Herro. His fur bristled slightly, and when he looked down, he noticed it was changing to a beautiful black sheen. Next, he seemed to float off the ground as he began to emit a soft purple glow. Then, small dark matter orbs emerged from within him, floating around his body. As he settled to the ground, he turned to his owner. "Boss, I feel freakin' amazing!" he exclaimed. "Well, aren't you going to go play with Mentachem now?" asked Hunter. Herro was so excited about his new look he had almost forgotten about his minion. He ran back to his room and tackled Chem, stroking him and ruffling his feathers. The two ran around the room, their floating dark matter orbs circling them.
Dark Matter:
While both where overjoyed, Chem wasn't used to this friendly roughhousing and accidentally bit Herro a little too hard. "Ow! No, Chem! Stop!" Herro shouted. Suddenly, the Darkwing sat up straight, a blank look in his eyes. "Huh?" remarked Herro. He walked in circles around Chem, trying to figure out what was wrong. Then he noticed something odd. His dark matter orbs didn't follow him around Chem. In fact, they stayed in place where Herro had been standing, staring intently at Chem. "O-o-okay, that's enough, you're fine, Chem," Herro stammered. Mentachem suddenly snapped back to normal, turning to Herro with a happy face, not noticing that anything had happened.
Herro was troubled. He pondered what had happened, when suddenly a thought popped into his head. Easy. You control dark matter, so it was a snap to control a dark matter minion. His will isn't as strong as yours. Now, just imagine how easy it would be to control other minions, items, or even pets if you controlled other types of matter! Herro wasn't entirely sure it was his own thought, but he was more concerned with the implications of what that meant than he was scared of a stray thought. "Hmm, this could be interesting," he wondered aloud...
Powers:
- As Herro gains different types of matter, they join the dark matter and float around his body.
- Herro has complete control over the matter that swirls around him. This allows for:
*Concentrated energy bursts
*Limited levitation
*Control of items and minions composed of related matter
*Control of pets composed of related matter, whose will is weaker than Herro's
