Background: A fairly large new Celinox was thrown into a kennel with the rest at the top of a snowy mountain summit inside a building. "We haven't gotten an angelic celinox in a while," A woman who was sitting on an office chair said to the man who had placed the Celinox in the kennel. "I suppose," The man went on writing her data and description. "Suppose?" The woman sounded angry, "There is a high demand for angel pets I'll have you know," the woman stood up from her chair and slowly walked to the man. "She is shy," The man sighed, "She won't be good for much." The man finished the paper and set it on the desk. "Poor thing," The woman stroked the celinox's ear, "I guess there isn't much we can do, anyways, its closing time." The kennels all darkened when the woman switched the light off. The Celinox cornered herself in the kennel and drifted to sleep.
Morning came fast. The grey clouds covered the sun from shining into the kennels. The Celinox emerged from the small blanket that managed to cover most of her body. The woman and man from last night walked inside. The woman greeted her with a small piece of ham. "What did you just give her?" The man asked in a concerned voice. "Ham, it's not like it's going to hurt her," the woman rolled her eyes and retired to her office chair. "Okay, I guess," the man sighed and took a seat at the other desk across the room. The room was silent except for the constant ticking of computer keys. Then finally the typing was broken by the sound of the bell on the door, rang a jolly welcome for a woman in a blue ranger uniform. The miss quickly caught the celinox's attention. "Welcome," the woman at the desk pushed herself from her seemingly comfortable chair. "What do you need?" the woman continued in a helpful tone. "I'm in need of a pet, and my partner told me you have an Angel Celinox." The ranger stuck her hands into her pockets. The man that was at the other side of the room stood up. "Yes, we do, but she's shy," he folded his arms. "So she's shy? Who cares? Her company is still great." The woman argued with the her. The ranger looked at both. "Well if she can learn to be around others, I'll take her!" She smiled and looked at the celinox. The man sighed and unlocked the cage. "Here you go," The man handed the ranger the celinox. She looked around while holding the young celinox and said, "Snow, I'll name her Snowtress" The ranger held the tracker close, for she wasn't full grown, yet.
The ranger left the building at the top of the summit in a big hurry. She set Snowtress carefully in the passenger seat. "The others will just adore you," The woman said softly and as she put the key in the ignition. Snowtress looked up at her new master, this was definitely going to take some time. The ranger reached to pet Snowtress and surprisingly she didn't pull away; she was too tired to pull away. "What a sweet little girl," She mumbled quietly. The drive was very long, the ranger station was on top the other summit. The whole time Snow slept, and the ranger known as Jess was away talking on the radio to someone named Chris.
Jess's truck pulled up to the station. She woke the very tired Celinox with a simple poke of her finger. "Come on, we're here." Her words were soft and comfortable. Snowtress slowly opened her eyes. The new surroundings surprised her. The tracker stood up and hopped out, following Jess inside the building. When the two entered they were greeted by many other rangers. "You found an Angel Celinox!?" One of the rangers sounded very surprised. "Impressive!" The ranger continued. Soon the group crowded the Celinox. "Very gorgeous!" "Yes indeed," "What did you name her?" Questions and comments filled Snow's ear. Jess stood calmly by the door, hanging up her coat. "Her name is Snowtress, but she responds to Snow." She answered quickly. The Celinox turned to her master, hearing her name. "She's perfect for KiKi," a ranger commented. Perfect for who? The Celinox finally began to think. "Isn't she?" Jess laughed.
Snow was nervous. Who were these people? What did they want? Thoughts buzzed in her head. Jess walked into a room with another lady sitting down. "Snowtress, this is your new owner," she gestured to the young woman. Snow stopped walking and blinked several times. She thought Jess was her owner. "Oh Jess! She's so pretty!" said the woman as she walked over to the Celinox. "I knew you'd like her KiKi," Jess smiled and sat down in a chair. KiKi sat on the floor next to Snotress, picked her up and put her in her lap and started petting her soft fur. Snow enjoyed this and accepted the attention.
"Well, I'm off to work. I'll talk to you later KiKi, and I'll see you later Snow." Jess gave her a good pat on the head and left. "Well, looks like it's just you and me now." KiKi smiled and stood up still holding Snowtress. All the young Celinox did was purr and get cozy in KiKi's coat.
