A tattered notebook sprawled face down on the floor with papers and pages noticeably protruding lies on the floor of the ransacked cabin. A few feet away from the notebook, a dead man lay propped up against a wall with a gaping hole taken out of his chest, a blood trail leading seemingly nowhere, ends in the center of the room. After picking up the notebook, the last page is opened and visible. It reads..

I fear- no, I know it's onto me. I can feel it coming. I can feel it's presence. I know too much, I've gone too far, and now I'm being punished. I feel I will die tonight, but my research can live on. I have spent the last tÌ¶eÌ¶nÌ¶ eleven years of my life dedicated to understanding these beasts, and now I've finally come close. I can't loose it all now. I'll send a raven to notify of the location of my research, I pray it makes it.
