My kin, where are you?

Born many many years ago from the earth, where once dragons roamed the land. As mankind thrived the dragons faded or evolved and took on the form of humans themselves. Only a handful walk this earth, blending into society. Eun's soul was hidden inside a vessel for he had chosen eternal sleep. A silver dragon statue that was buried deep in the soil to protect the kingdom of Korea. The statue was found by a child who would later become emperor and so the statue was passed down from generation to generation until war broke out where he was once again hidden deep in the soil.

Centuries passed and the dragon remained undisturbed in his slumber until all of a sudden the ground above tore open and the blue skies greeted him once again. The sun shone brightly and reflected off of his silver figure. The world had changed so much and his memories of the past several millenniums were hazy in his mind, perhaps this was a sign. A sign to wake up.

The sound of gentle tinkering echoed down the alleyways, just loud enough to be heard from the main streets. Eun sat slightly hunched over his worktop, a silver ring held up to his eye as he examined the metal. Not once did he take his eyes of the ring as his other hand reached for a mandrel. The ring was carefully slid down the measuring equipment and Eun's furrowed brow soften. Content for now with the ring, he placed the ring and tool back down and stretched his arms above his head. He had forgotten about the half eaten porridge perched on the shelf next to him and not being one to waste food, he reached over to grab the bowl and froze.

Tap... tap tap... tap... tap tap...

That sound, he knew that sound. It was strong. It was fluid. It was nostalgic. He sniffed the air and a faint aroma hit his nose. Dark pupils constricted, taking on a thin elongated shape, his dragon eyes resurfacing for a brief moment. Scrambling for the door, Eun dashed down the alleyway. His sweater slipping off one shoulder and his necklaces bouncing off his chest.

Tap... tap tap... tap...

The sound was growing fainter and the smell, that sweet smell so unique to that soul. Eun sprinted as fast as he could. Ears straining for that familiar tune.

Tap... tap tap...

He reached the opening of the alleyway. Dark hair covering his eyes as his breathing became laboured. The beat of his heart felt like war drums.

Tap...

He burst out onto the bustling streets. His senses heightened, but the sound had vanished and that aroma had gone. He looked left. He looked right. Eyes wide and scanning. No, they couldn't have just disappeared. His senses weren't playing tricks on him. All of a sudden Eun was bumped to the side, an angry businessmen annoyed that Eun was just standing there. The dark haired male muttered a quick apology before slinking back into the alleyway. Sliding down the wall, into a crouched position. Hands rubbing his hair in fustration, "Where did you go?" he whispered.
