The snake attached to Andromeda’s back, who she affectionally named Philemon, limits her powers greatly. While she is still one of the most powerful being on most of the world she travels to even with it, her true potential cannot be unleashed while Philemon controls part of her body. Philemon is a magical being, he is a physical manifestation of a mysterious curse that appeared when Andromeda fleed her own galaxy

Telepathy - Andromeda can communicate with any living being telepathically. As a guardian, she used this power to send messages across the galaxy. This power is limited by the snake, and she can only communicate with beings within her sights.

Telekinesis - Andromeda can use telekinesis to move objects or living beings. She can move atoms suspended in air at phenomenal speeds to create blast of winds. She uses a combination of powerful wind gusts and moving things around as her main way of defence. This power is limited by the snake and takes up a lot energy to use.

Levitation - Thanks to her telekinesis abilities, Andromeda doesn’t need to walk, and unless she is undercover or in public, she tends to levitate a few inches above the ground. She also uses this power to make her hair and clothes float.

Faster than light speed travel - Andromeda can travel in space at incredible speed by transforming her body into light particles. This allows her to travel through her galaxy easily. This power is limited by the snake, and she can only travel at a limited speed.

Blackhole creation - As one of the first creator and has a galaxy guardian, Andromeda can manipulate matter and create massive blackholes. In times of needs, she can force a star to collapse on itself in order to create a blackhole and consume solar systems. This power is limited by the snake and cannot be used while it possess her body.

Wormhole creation - Andromeda can wrap matter and create wormholes. She can use this power to travel anywhere in space. However, wormholes can send her back or forward in time and are very unpredictable. This power is limited by the snake and cannot be used with the chain on.

Matter manipulation - As a derivative of her telekinesis abilities, Andromeda can manipulate the fabric of matter (including state, atom configurations etc.) and rearrange it at will. This allows her to create almost anything. This power is limited by the snake, and she can only manipulate small amount of matter. As a derivation of this power, Andromeda can heal living beings by rearranging their tissues to their original state. Manipulating matters with the snake is a slow and draining process.

Heat manipulation - Andromeda can manipulate atoms and molecules to either excite them or stop their movement, allowing her to create heat or absence of heat (cold). At full power, she could use this to change the climate of whole planets or the state of whole stars. This power is limited by the snake, and she can only use it small-scale such as stopping campfire or melting metal.

Regenerative healing - The outer composition of Andromeda’s body being mostly star matter, it automatically regenerate itself after any wounds. Severed limbs reattaches themselves and wounds made to her core heal almost instantly. This power is limited by the snake, and wounds take significantly longer to heal. Wounds made to the core of her body could easily be fatal.

Illusions creation - Andromeda being able to wrap matter, she can create illusions using light. This power is limited by the snake, so she can only create small-scale illusions or illusions on herself (changing the ways she appears to others).

Dormant form - Andromeda can hide her tail, ears, gems, wings and neck fluff. She can look almost human while in this form and uses it to blend in easily. She only uses it for hiding purpose, as she cannot use any of her powers and has no defence while in this form. Philemon is still present in this form, as a constant companion that she cannot erase completely.

Philemon is the name Andromeda gave to the snake attached to her back. The snake is the reason for all the eyes on her body. Philemon manifested itself when Andromeda fled her galaxy. She suspect it is the physical manifestation of a curse placed on her by the dark order of the galaxy as a way to punish her for leaving.

Philemon is a parasitic being, sucking away most of Andromeda's power and life force. If Andromeda wants to go back to her galaxy, she needs to find a way to break the curse. She cannot travel back with her power so impeded.

In truth, Philemon is a creation of Andromeda herself. Her guilt and fear over the death of Cassiopeia subconsciously manifested themselves into Philemon. It is a being created when Andromeda's emotions took over her powers as a way to protect herself. The only way for Andromeda to 'break the curse' is to tame her demons, to face her guilt and accept her actions.

Reincarnation - Andromeda gets reincarnated infinitely. The current version of Andromeda is the latest in a long line of guardians and is barely a few thousand years old. Each reincarnation shares the same goal: protecting the galaxy, but they are all very different from each other in term of personality and skills. Andromeda knows of the ones that came before her and of their accomplishments. She feels inadequate and fragile compared to the ones that came before her. She tries to learn as much as she can so that she can help her people, but her fears of making mistakes hold her back.

Body composition - The core of Andromeda’s body is similar to human composition and is carbon-based. Andromeda doesn’t need oxygen or food to survive. A dark blueish liquid fills her body and uses the energy generated by the star matter of her outer fur and wings as energy. The star shaped gem on her chest acts as a mini-reactor and generate energy for the whole system. This star keeps her alive. The star is coated with a thick translucent material similar to crystal. It is almost impossible to break.
