Cassiopeia is an alien with deity-like powers charged to protect princess Andromeda, the guardian of the Andromeda Galaxy.

Cassiopea is the descendant of a long line of legendary warrior. Her people are known as the most skilled fighters in the galaxy, and most of them are high ranking officers or protector of some sorts. She was trained from birth to be a powerful and strategic fighter, able to handle a variety of weapons and martial arts.

She was chosen as the bearer of the Chain of the Goddess after proving both her skills in combat and her strong sense of duty in front of the Grand Council of the Galaxy. The chain being bound to her life essence, it grants her immense power. After being chosen, Cassiopeia spent several hundred years traveling the galaxy to perfect her powers and skills. Cassiopeia's whole life is dedicated to her duty as a warrior. She develops a serious and stoic exterior, and takes pride in her simple lifestyle.

When a war erupt in the outer rim of the galaxy, Cassiopeia is called to her destined duty: as the bearer of the chain, she must protect the guardian of the galaxy, Andromeda, while she uses her powers to restore order.

At first, Cassiopeia despise Andromeda. She finds her overly naive and childish, and cannot understand how a being with so much power can be so unwilling to use it. She protected Andromeda from rebels attack on several occasion, as the pair travels the galaxy in search of a solution to the ongoing conflict. Cassiopeia sees Andromeda as an equal, and doesn't hesitate to call her out. She doesn't see the guardian as a goddess like most people seem to.

Through their travel, she warms up to Andromeda and her constant amazements for all the wonders of the universe around. Having always seen the world through the eyes of a warrior ready for all dangers, Cassiopeia never took time to appreciate beauty or kindness. After a particularly violent encounter with rebels where Andromeda's life force is almost destroyed, the warrior realizes that her feeling for the guardian might run deeper than she intended. However, she doesn't believe that Andromeda, who has the universe to her feet and an immortal life ahead of her, would ever reciprocate her feelings. She sees those feelings as a weakness, and decides it is better to repress them and brings back her stoic facade. But deep down, Cassiopeia knows that Andromeda will cause her ultimate demise, as loves makes you take foolish risks...

Powers and abilities

Weapon mastery - Cassiopeia was trained as a warrior by the most skilled knights in the galaxy. She has a mastery of all weapon types, from swords, to bows and firearms. While the most of the galaxy is technologically advances and uses plasma firearms, Cassiopeia tends to favour classic weapons such as spears and longswords.

Weapon summoning - Cassiopeia can summon a wide array of energy weapons using the magic in her chain. Those weapons can manifest themselves in any shape or form. The weapons summoned this way have a blue translucent color and tend to be intricate in design.

Matter manipulation - The chain allows Cassiopeia to manipulate matter and reorganize atoms into any state. This allows her to use elemental 'magic'. She favors the use of complex fire waves and manipulating Earth matter into deadly traps.

Illusion projection - The chain allows Cassiopeia to create illusions. She mostly uses this in combat to create duplicates of herself and confuse the enemy. Illusions can be created in a 100 km radius of herself, which is useful for space combat.

Telekinesis - Cassiopeia can lift and move objects at will using the power of the chain.

Levitation - Thanks to her telekinesis abilities, Cassiopeia doesn’t need to walk and can levitate. However she prefers walking and feeling earth under her feets, so she rarely uses this power. She does keep the chain levitating, since it tends to get in the ways of her movements.

Snake form - Cassiopeia can take the form of a long dark snake creature. She can use this form to hide in the wilderness or explore dense cities.

Self suffisance - Being soul bound with the powerful elements of the chain created a gem on Cassiopeia's tail. The gem is basically a mini star, and acts as a mini reactor. Cassiopeia doesn't need to sleep, eat , drink or breath and can travel through space. She doesn't particularly like this, and will often eat and sleep for the simple pleasure of doing so. The gem isn't as powerful as the stars on Andromeda's chest, and its power will run out after a few thousands years, leaving Cassiopeia to grow old and die naturally.
