santiago moreno. some hundred odd years old, but appears in his early thirties. hispanic. smells like blood and ash. bloodbender. always wears a bandanna over the lower portion of his face, with scars peeking out from underneath the cover of the cloth. always seems to have bloodstains on him, unless he is freshly showered and groomed. has a feral, full human, and 'half human' form.

his appearance is not the only off putting thing about him - his demeanor, down to the very aura that permeates his being, warns others not to approach. should they choose to engage, they will be met with a cold, disinterested man who seems to have no concept of social grace. he seems to be burdened by the existence of others. he is withdrawn and alienated from the concept of time and life itself, having lived an entire lifetime already.

santiago is not one for conversation or company, and spends what little time he must amongst others in a state of disinterested silence. it seems the only thing he cares about is himself - which is true for the most part, though he does have a soft spot for a younger chupacabra whom he has come to know. he has a tendency to play with his food, and save the better parts for his friend. and there is a lady who has seemed to charm him, but he's wary of such a... complicated situation.

» discovers he has a fascination for blood when he found one of their goats, dead from a coyote attack
» was compelled to drink the animals blood though he could, for no reason, understand where the urge came from
» began to eat raw meat only, having trouble stomaching cooked meat or vegetables
» strange deaths began to occur within their livestock
» knowing his parents farm was already failing, he tried his best to stop eating the animals
» became very sickly and emaciated, worrying his parents greatly
» when they left into town to get medicine, he slaughters three goats brutally, his parents finding him bloodied
» he is ultimately cast out, due to being 'evil' and 'of the devil', and ruining his families livelihood
» basically begins shifting uncontrollably at this point, sort of like a werewolf but not??
» goes on a killing spree across the countryside, never sees his parents again tbh they're way dead by now
» lives a hundred years and is bitter the entire time
» living in modern times in the big city and now everyone thinks he's just a vampire or a very ugly dog
» you can understand why he hates people, surely
