👑Pet tags New Feature

👑 New Feature: tag your pets.
Open Pet Options on any pet and pick Edit Tags to give it up to 10 tags, like "favorites", "OCs", "fanpets", or "in progress". Your tags are just for you, and they don't follow a pet if you give it away.

👑 New Feature: sort your pets page by tag.
Your pets page has a button for each tag you've made, so you can see only your OCs or only your fanpets. Each pet's tags show on its card too, and clicking one does the same thing.

@Keith HELLO GOOD SIR, I hope it's okay if I ping you! (in the future, if you don't want me to, please let me know!) I thought I'd give feedback about this amazing new feature:

  • LOVE the ability to tag pets straight from the full pets page! I echo Lea's sentiment that it can be a little cumbersome to scroll and check the box next to each pet's name, but I also realize that's only a problem us weirdos with a million pets are going to have lmao. I'm wondering if it would be possible to make each pet's stats and options section its own collapsible menu, and we could choose which ones load fully displayed and are collapsed? I'm really bad at describing things so I did a silly mock-up for what I was thinking:



either something like this or allowing us to choose a tag as the "default" for when we load the pets page could (maybe) help with load time? (also I say maybe bc I don't know how to code, so, like, idk how possible any of this is lol)

  • renaming tags (and deleting them) would be a great feature to have! I named one of my tags "undeveloped/no idea" and it became "undevelopednoidea" which is making me way more uncomfortable and mad than it should


  • a way to filter for pets with no tag would be great too!


overall I am LOVING this so far! I've had to keep separate documents/discord threads for things like "pets I need to nameswap" or "pets needing species/color changes", and it's amazing that I can just. make a tag for that now. thank you so much for adding this to the site! 💙

(PS is there no way to preview a comment before posting it on a news thread... I sure hope those image links I added actually work lmao)

OKAY ALSO the way you made it so we can add pets to tags through the pets page instead of having to go to the pet options dropdown then edit tags page for each pet manually?? BLESS. This is sooo nice. Starting to go through and organize things and it's just so satisfying!! I love this so freaking much.

The only improvement I can think of for quickly adding tags would be if it would be possible for there to be some kind of dropdown pet list option or something near the mass-add tags bit, to quickly add a tag to a pet w/o having to scroll all the way down to that pet or go to their individual edit tags page?
Or maybe, to prevent adding much more to the pets page which is already pretty hefty for some of us, there could just be a general 'pet tags' page with that kind of thing. Ohhh and it could have a list of pets but it wouldn't have the same pet card as our pets page since that adds a lot to the amount of scrolling, it could be a list with more condensed info. I'm picturing the pet list as kind of like the resort page, where it would have a checkbox, small pet image + name, and then to the right would be the pet's current tags and such.

Would it be possible to add the ability to edit a tag's name? In case we organize pets by a certain setting/group but then change the setting/group name? (Definitely not asking because I have at least one unnamed setting or character groups with placeholder names...)

It would also be awesome if the filters could be on the resort pages, so that I can make a 'resort' tag for everyone but my gourmand and toybox pets! Being able to filter to everyone but those two and then hit 'check all in' would be a godsend.

the fact that we can filter the training center AND pets for battling oh my god thank you thank you thank you, this will make farming SO much less annoying omg
for the first time ever i can finally order my pets how i want instead of ordering for ease of training/battling....

and it'll be SO good for organizing/filtering by profile completion, setting, etc, so it'll help me a ton with the more creative aspects too!! i was just thinking about how i needed to go through and organize my pets and this is giving me a ton of motivation!!

I love this. Love love love. I actually tried the V3 Profile last night and then reverted to my V2 profile because the V3 could only show a limited number of my pets.
Being able to add multiple pet blocks with our tagged pets has just convinced me to move to V3 after all. Instead of using html to list my pets by groups in text links, each group can have their own block. Perfection.

For all of you - if you switch to the new v3 user profiles, you can add multiple pet blocks that pull from your tags. That's why I added them :P

ohhh this is super neat?!

I'm excited to tag my pets based on the universe they're in! Or having them tagged by which ines are done/in progress etc.

oh I could even tag the pets that have LN, the ones I need to rework, the ones I want to change the color/species of.

wowowo ok this is great and will make managing 100+ pets way easier!!
