The giveaway wasnt actually to celebrate anything. I believe Keith said it was done just so they could finish tweaking the site to handle a large load of users. (which the giveaway brought in).

My daughter was on last night and I knew I was going to miss it. This only having one computer and her taking over all night is really getting in my way.

I missed it too because I'm in the UK and I was in bed at the time. As we're told to check back later in case it starts again I'm guessing that this was a short test because of the server move.
I think that this would have been far better to run when the site wasn't lagging really, really badly before the giveaway even occurred - I tried to get some stuff last night and the site was so slow, it was next to pointless. And now it's over.

It told me I had to wait before grabbing something from the free shop when I hadn't even taken anything yet! 8(

A giveaway is great. But sure wish they'd waited until Friday and run it through the weekend instead of starting on Monday when I have to be gone all day every day. Hope it goes through Sunday.
Awesome! However, free shop + lag makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall. It's lagging so much (literally 2-3 minutes to load that page) that by the time I see something and click it, of course it's sold out. I've tried about 20 times and only managed to get two items.
I've never had the site tell me 'Item was previously purchased' before :/ And then tell me I had to wait to get a different one even though I got nothing.
Are you guys doing this because of the move "to the clouds" and the slowness it caused? If so, that's rather considerate and much appreciated.

I can't use the price and remove button in my shop. It doesn't work. Also, I can't use the "wear outfit" feature in my wardrobe.

I love the fact that you're doing a giveaway and most of the time I appreciate it, but is this really helping the site in any way? I can't even get to the Free Shop, let alone get items from it. I understand that it would be nice if the site carried on as normal, but sometimes it just doesn't work. It's a nice gesture, though. I'm trying not to come across as rude, as I don't want to be rude.
